I can't believe we went from a highway robbery of the Nets to the Nets becoming invincible.

Scal thinks the Rockets may be motivated to re-trade Oladipo because they want to get a top 3 pick this season (their 1st round pick is top 3 protected but otherwise goes to OKC).  Thinks Celtics should try to get him with trade exception and young players.

Wouldn’t that mean that they dumped Caris LeVert for basically nothing of consequence?  I don’t think that that is a very well thought out argument on Scal’s part.

What does the Nets depth chart look like now?

What is left to put alongside their big three?

They are not anywhere close to invincible. They are gonna be a dumpster fire.

My Lord, that is a terrible defensive team. And they don't have a back up center! Is DJ going to play 40+ minutes a night?

This year, I don't see it happening for the Nets. But with some adjustments in the off-season and getting Dinwiddie back, if the top 3 guys can learn to share, the Nets could be dangerous then.

They'll get the off-season ring chasers too.

Who is out there in free agency still?

Dwayne Dedmon would make a lot of sense.  RHJ? Ilyasova?  Napier? IT? Gerald?

They’ve got three slots.  I’d sign Dedmon, RHJ and Napier.

Doesn’t Dinwiddie have a player option? I’d think he’d cash in this offseason if so, ACL injury or not. I don’t think he’s playing another game for the Nets.

I read somewhere IT was hoping to return next year, but is not healthy enough to play this year, so scratch him off that list.  Dedmon would make sense.
Yup

I still dont get Oladipo for Levert trade

Why would Rockets take a guy who has been more injured, older and last year of his contract vs Levert?

Look, all bias aside, that’s a really strong starting 5! And the real X factor is Durant. If we take KD out, then that looks like a worse Rockets team than previous years (DJ as Capella, Harris one of the shooters, Kyrie as CP3 or RW).

Can someone copy paste Zach Lowe's article about the trade, or PM me? I can't access ESPN+ outside of the US.
