Yeah I dunno - would I rather have a LeBron-less Cavs with the pick or the Lakers?  Depends where it falls but I think Cavs. Dumb move for their franchise though.

KOC says it's IT Frye and the CAVS 1st to LA.  Probably a good trade for Cleveland then.  Though I doubt it stops the bleeding much.

If the end result of all this IT drama is he gets overpaid by the Lakers instead of their LeBron/George pipe dream it's gonna be pretty funny. More likely he gets bought out or leaves in FA though. Poor guy.

So, uh, crazy thought: if IT gets bought out we could legitimately sign him couldn’t we? Lol

I mean, he’s probably still salty and wouldn’t come here, let alone us sign him. But we certainly could use his scoring off the bench, and that’d be the perfect “F you” to Lebron and Cleveland from IT lol

Sadly while I'd love to have him back to form I don't think playing on a contender is a great place for him to work back into shape. He's looked so very bad in Cleveland.

Very important point.  I'm betting it makes them worse as they lose depth and athleticism.  I doubt Walton will know how to use IT.

Clarkson was getting them a lot of wins lately tbh. Depends how well IT plays. Maybe he thrives in the underdog role and/or a less toxic environment.

Theoretically worse. I've watched a lot of Lakers games this season due to the pick, and Clarkson has basically been one of their best players all season long.

In return, they get IT. I saw a graphic on one of the shows that IT is shooting worse than Lonzo Ball and is dead last in defense in the NBA. I think that he is literally the worst player in the NBA right now.

Now, if they are able to mirror what the Celtics did with IT, and he's back to 100%, he can basically carry an entire offense. They have their version of Smart in KCP to cover his
 weaknesses. I don't see it happening, but that's why I said theoretically.
