BS call.
McConnel’s reward for a great defense play?  Have a seat on the bench, got to get ‘rookie’ back in there.  B Brown questionable move.

I don't mind Simmons playing more.  I am a bit more worried about TJ right now than Simmons.  TJ is giving them energy / momentum plays.

Is TJ available next year? He'd make a great 3rd string point guard for The Celtics.

Tatum is my favorite rookie ever.  First legit superstar prospect we’ve had since Bird and I wasn’t alive during Larry’s rookie year.

See Pierce, Paul.  Top 50 all time player. 26,000 career points.

Hyperbole much?
love Pierce. He was never a superstar.  Rookie Tatum has a higher ceiling than rookie piece had.

Yeah. Lets not go there.  Paul Pierce was a legit superstar.  If he was playing in this 3 point shooting era, he'd have averaged 30, easy.
Nope.  Love Pierce.  Wasn’t a superstar. I don’t label every allstar a superstar.  Pierce was something like the 12th-20th best player in the league during his prime.  Never even 1st team all-nba.  Didn’t have real success until KG (a superstar) lead us to a title.

Not knocking Pierce.  Tatum might not have that level of success, but he’s the best prospect we’ve had since Larry Bird.  Tatum has all the makings of a true all-nba 1st team level superstar if progresses as expected.  I’ve been comparing him to rookie Kevin Durant all season.

Were not around in 1996 and 97 when he was tearing up the NCAA and was projected to go 2 in that draft.  He was a legit superstar prospect.  You should go hunt some scouting reports.  That was also an era where they didn't shoot 8 threes a game.
pierce was an all-star prospect that peaked as an Allstar.  Tatum is a superstar prospect.  There’s a difference.

I watched every game of paul’s career.  Tatum is a better prospect.  Doesn’t guarantee he will live up to his potential.

Peaked as an all star???  He's one of the top 50 players in history, surefire first ballot hall of famer, top 20 all time in points scored, and second leading scorer in Boston Celtics history.  You might wanna look up there term "peak".
dont blame you for being defensive about Pierce. I love pierce. You’re overrating his career. He was a second tier allstar.  Tatum has all the makings of a true franchise player.  We’ve had guys with high ceilings over the years - Usually it wasn’t realistically obtainable.  Tatum is legit.  I feel the same way about him as I did guys like Anthony Davis his rookie season.  Barring something unforeseen the kid should end up an all-nba level superstar.

I think you're overrating the term "all-star".  Its a popularity contest.  From 2000-2010, Pierce averaged more than 25 points a game 5 times and was truly one of the leagues elite scorers.  He didn't get the press that McGrady and Carter did with all their highlight dunks, but ask any player in the league, he was second only to Kobe as the most feared and deadly wing in the league.  And was one of the 5 most clutch players in the league, statiscally.  If Tatum or Brown become half of Pierce, we should consider ourselves fortunate.

Come on, Tatum, you have to be smarter than that. That was clearly going to be a charge the entire trip down.
