I don't know why Morris is out there closing games when the Celtics need smart basketball to close out a win, but whatever.  I'll take the W

  • Rondo doesn't believe in easy buckets...
When Kyrie doesn't play I'm more confident in our chances against 80% of the league.

It's sad.

I'll take the win. There were some positives like Horford, Smart, and Tatum's 1st half. Hayward even played well. But I did not like that we eased up so much in the 4th.

Either way, happy to have Horford back. He was a monster in last year's playoffs and he looks primed and ready to go.

Tatum scoreless in the second half.

Doing his invisible man act.

I don't think Tatum had very many opportunities in the 2nd half.  Why we didn't just exploit his matchup all night I have no idea.

I'm done with Morris. If Brad can't figure out that Jaylen > Morris now, then idk what to say.

The thing is Morris almost exclusively plays the small 4 for us now, which Jaylen can't play. If anything, Brown should be playing more guard minutes taking minutes away from Rozier.

but even if it isn't a Morris vs Brown thing, why is Brown playing 17 minutes?

Because Kyrie is out. There are 33 additional minutes to go around and Brad has inexplicably decided that Jaylen should get even less playing time, even though he also plays the guard position.

I tend to agree with the conspiracy theories that Morris has dirt on Brad/DA and that the Cs are trying to hide Jaylen from an AD trade by barely playing him rotation-level minutes. He was actually the 4th sub in tonight (after Hayward, Morris, and Theis) - it's nuts!

Yeah, there's something else going on there, because it doesn't make any sense. After playing the vast majority of his minutes at guard last year, it's like Brad has decided to refuse to play him at guard this season at all, even with Rozier's futility, which has really cut his minutes.

In 25 minutes, Horford has 19/8/5. Just beautiful numbers and production.  8)

We'll really need that in the playoffs.
There is zero chance of this happening if you know who plays more than 15 mins a game lol

As a basketball player right now, Morris is smarter than Jaylen Brown.

Was that his fault though. The hottest player in the game, they went to him twice early, where he missed both on poor shot selection, and they never went to him again.

It could be a number reasons.

But one thing's for sure, Celts have too many players of the same kind.

That will not happen again next season when the Celts trade for AD.
