Players moved the ball and played better.  Doc did his part and made adjustments enabling the team.  Result, probably best win in the playoffs so far.  I hope a switch has been turned on.  Now, let's go get our first road win!

There was a pretty excellent stretch of basketball in the 3rd quarter of this game where both teams were playing at their best and the score was with 2 or 3 points either way.  Take your allegiances out of the equation for a minute, and it was just some great NBA playoff excitement.  A very competitive game.
Yup

No not really Redz. It was the worst quarter of the game from Cleveland.

That period had a nice little back and forth to it .... but the Cavs weren't playing well in that period of the third either, they were just getting buckets. They weren't getting what they wanted and were struggling to get anything going offensively.

i enjoyed that stretch in retrospect, at the time i was screaming for stops and getting fustrated.

Looking back it was a good back and forth  :)

Great win. I credit the Sports Guy's article today. It obviously got read by the team and caused the great performances we saw tonight.  :)

Hats off to Rondo, who was the player of the game. Also KG had a big time performance tonight. To me, he and Rondo sparked the comeback and lead us to the win.

Two of the Big Three really stepped up tonight ... finally! Rondo was huge because he was allowed to play ... finally! Doc made adjustments at the half and had the right rotation ... finally! I think we'll also get a win in Cleveland on the road, too ... finally! Go Celtics!

  • You know my methods, Watson.
it looks like it's becoming "as rondo goes, so go the celtics" type of thing...

he set some good picks down the stretch as well, a subtle thing that is often overlooked because it doesn't appear in the box score.

You guys wana credit something, credit whoever decided to run pick and rolls with rondo and kg, this is what got us going.

When we start running them the other team cant guard both players and when rondo goes down the lane he either finishes with floaters or passes to the man left open when the rotation was made.

This IS ABC basketball, grammar school plays, I cant believe we play this well when we run them, then the next game we dont run any on the road.

We should run more of these plays on the road, we hit a much higher % of our shots and this lets us set up our half court defense.

If we dont win a ring this year, im throwing my hat in the race for the vacant head coach job that WILL be open this summer!
