Just wondering if you think this is load management for Kristaps Porzingis? I meant they seem to hold him out in a lot of games. Seems like modern day load management to me. Keep him more fresh and healthy for when we really need him down the stretch? Just wondering what others think?

I dislike the term, but we all knew the downside of this trade is that KP is "injury-prone".

Nope. Zinger is just fragile and hurt a lot.

they definitely are managing him though. he probably would play if its the playoffs. just put up 20pts the other night, and probably playing tomorrow.

Yep, him and Horford are load managed throughout the year. Porzingis did already suffer an injury but overall, he's missed a lot of games where if it's playoffs I think he does play.

It's fine for now but this is where having a solid 3rd big would be useful to eat up minutes in the regular season. Maybe Queta emerges as that guy, because Kornet ain't it. And they should still trade for a depth PF/C. Depending on foul trouble or injuries in the playoffs you will need to have multiple bodies on the likes of Giannis/Embiid/Turner/Bam in games. G-Will functioned in that role. He's no longer here

I’m glad they are managing the nagging/minor injuries and having him sit. Don’t want them to turn into something more serious. Also, I’m pretty comfortable with Horford and Queta getting minutes at C and Tatum playing PF which is what he’s been doing all year.

He did sprain his ankle the other night and then proceed to play on and dominate the rest of the game. I'm sure his ankle swelled and tightened up a lot after that. Anyone would need several days rest to recover from it. The same thing happened to Tatum, and nobody is talking about him sitting for load management.

I am not sure what the distinction is, load management or not.  Porzingis has an injury (ankle) so they held him out. Anyone would do the same with Emdiid, Giannis, LeBron, whoever.  It is just a call that needs to be made by the team.  Every team makes these calls every day.  This one didn’t seem like a very hard one.

If Porzingis not 100, sit him vs Lakers.

Regarding load management, literally every team does it. If they are managing KP + Horford, fine by me.

I sometimes wish they did it with Tatum more too

Embiid is out tomorrow. Porzingis is questionable.
