That knee is definitely bad news, but we don't know a lot yet, right?  Just that he left the game in the fourth quarter?

Former Celtics center Robert Williams left Sunday’s game against the Grizzlies with a knee injury. The Blazers backup center left the game at the 10:14 mark of the fourth quarter and was ruled out by the team a short time afterwards in a 112-100 home loss.

Williams suffered the injury while defending Jaren Jackson Jr by the paint. Williams fell to the floor while grabbing at his right knee. He stayed in the game for one more possession with a limp before he was subbed out by coach Chauncey Billups.

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

Tough seeing him go, but it was the right move.

I was pretty sure between him and Horford that Horford would be the one exiting. I'm glad that was not the case.

Hope Timelord gets well soon! He needs to help Portland play like he was in his 2021-2022 season.

Man that is sad. When he was fully healthy he was probably the best defender in the league.

Such a special talent, it's too bad we got to see so little of it.

And individually he's just been through so much already with injuries,  surgeries etc. That must psychologically wear a person down.

He’s a guy you root for. Came in with a little reputation issue and proceeded to work hard, not complain, be a great teammate, grow his skills.  And he was constantly working through injury challenges. That said, Brad likely sold high on Rob.  Hope that’s not the case and he comes back and stays healthy, but it appears that may not be in the cards for him.  Give him a Leon Powe type job with the organization after he hangs them up.

I hate to see any of our guys get hurt.  Rob, Smart will always be our guys.  It's the unfortunate frustration we always had with Rob. All world defensive talent.  Fragile as glass.  I hope he's ok but for those that thought including Rob was an overpay you see why the C's were willing to give up Rob so easily.  Get well soon Rob!
