BPA = best player available is what I would do, we need wing depth though.

I can't say who we will take at #25 but my question is how much better is #25 vs. #35?  What is the value of moving up 10 spots?  Moving up from say #55 to #45 would not be much different.  Moving up from #15 to #5 would be a world of difference.  So not all move ups by 10 spots are created equal.  Moving up from #35 to #25 does seem to put is in a meaningfully better zip code.

I don't see the Celtics using the 2024 GSW pick to try and move up even further, but who knows.  Better to wait and see where that pick ends up.  Maybe trade a second or something to move up a little from #25 if there is a specific player, that would be fun, but I don't expect anything significant.

I approach a pick in the mid-20s as typically having a 20% chance at netting a rotation caliber player and a pick in the mid-30s as only having a 5% chance at getting a rotation caliber guy.

I feel this specific draft could have very good talent available in the 30s this year so I'd give it higher odds than that this year. The 20s look pretty solid as well although not as much of an outlier to other drafts. Good talent available in both draft ranges.

Swings aka wings,  I really like in our pick range

Olivier-Maxence Prosper  - ready to play NBA defense and an athlete.

Kris Murray - I think he will be gone.

Leonard Miller

Maxwell Lewis

If he started to slip down a bit, I would package both picks to move up and grab Gradey Dick. I have seen him mocked everywhere from 10 to 19. I would imagine he goes 11 or 12 so it isn't realistic.

I really like Andre Jackson out of Uconn

He is extremely smart, athletic and makes the right play. He is a legit two way player that could come in immediately and add something to the rotation.

6'6 and an older player that could fill some of Smart's duties.

Yeah, especially if Brad is picking for some other team which is a distinct possibility.

Could we Move up a little? will be interesting. I Love Jordan Hawkins!! I think he would be an incredible piece for the C's.  The kid can shoot, has good height and sweet move to the basket. Could be a home run if we could find a way.
Jordan Hawkins!!!!!

OMP is the guy I want. 6'7, 7'1 winspan, great athlete. Could see him being an OG Anunoby type player with some development.

Funny, many here want TJD and this article says to avoid him.

https://www.msn.com/en-us/sports/nba/2-players-celtics-must-avoid-with-no-25-pick-in-2023-nba-draft-after-3-team-trade/ar-AA1cTiMw?ocid=msedgntp&cvid=1c5027e1393c460bf3a2c88e56238c45&ei=6

I don't see the interest, particularly post Porzingis. He is arguably a center.

We need a 4th big with Muscala gone. TJD would be a good big for us.

In another thread, someone was pointing out that ideally you want Horford and Timelord down around 25mpg and Porzingis 30mpg. That is 80 of 96 minutes. So there is 16mpg big man minutes for a 4th big available. And all 3 of those guys will miss games next season so that 4th big will need to step up and be the 3rd big / main bench big fairly often next season. So there is a good role here for TJD to play.

Just checked in to Hawkins. He seems very intriguing. Cool blend of elite shooting and defensive upside. Looks like a movement shooter.

I'm all in on Cason Wallace. If he falls a little or we move up a little I really like his game.
