Bummer, I thought he could provide some useful minutes at the 5.
But I guess it's gonna be tough to get anybody in Boston when they already have plenty of depth.
Buyout guys want to know they're gonna get at least 15-20 minutes a night.
Sometimes I think our depth is overrated, or at least misrepresented. Some people are saying we'd have no minutes for a guy like Kanter ... yet when Baynes is out, people bemoan that we don't have any "big-man depth." I'm like, which is it?
Me, I'd like to have a Kantner on the roster, because if Baynes goes down—as he already has twice—we don't have another bruiser. Horford's a finesse player, Theis doesn't have the necessary mass, and Williams hardly ever plays (though he, too, is lacking the mass). With Kantner out of play, I'd love for the Cs to get Gortat or Robin Lopez and dump Yabu or one of the other end-of-bench guys.
