31 games already has 33 points against the Wolves with over 6 minutes left in the game.

I am not sure if you are joking with this, but you are arguing how his scoring is helping them win, and they lost by ten to the lottery bound wolves. Is this thread some larger comedy bit or something? It’s a head scratcher

Really down to him and Paul George for MVP I reckon.
What about the Freak? Not even in the conversation? He's the best player on the best team in the league (record-wise). Not to mention, the Bucks are exceeding expectations this season. Can't say the same thing about the Rockets for instance.

Not to denigrate Harden's abilities, but this streak is sort of manufactured by the NBA.  Every other time I see a highlight of Harden scoring he's also traveling.  Once the streak is over they'll probably stop letting him switch his pivot foot, or pick up his dribble and put it back on the floor.

I doubt they'll stop letting him do that. He's been doing the same garbage since 2014. The main difference is the freedom he's allowed to play with now. He's taking 24.4 shots per game, with over 13.5 of them coming from 3, alongside another season in double digit FTA's per game.

D'Antoni has let him run wild, and it's working

I think the Freak is in the conversation, but I think he's third behind these 2, who are neck and neck. Paul George is scoring more than Giannis and is defending at a DPOY level, and Harden is putting up historic offensive numbers on a team that has improved a lot since his streak began. I think that's the key difference

That isn't really how it goes though if you look historically. In the modern era the MVP seems to be the most story-worthy guy who is playing exceptionally, or putting up exceptional stats. Westbrook with his triple doubles, Curry with his 3's, DRose being a young monster, etc etc.

Harden and George both fit the bill. Harden is putting up one of the greatest stretches of scoring in NBA history, and Paul George has outplayed LeBron and Durant this year, and arguably the Freak.

Please don't remind me about the Freak. Imagine Kyrie, Giannis and just one of Tatum / Brown :(
