Really down to him and Paul George for MVP I reckon.
'23 Historical Draft: Orlando Magic.

PG: Terry Porter (90-91) / Steve Francis (00-01)
SG: Joe Dumars (92-93) / Jeff Hornacek (91-92) / Jerry Stackhouse (00-01)
SF: Brandon Roy (08-09) / Walter Davis (78-79)
PF: Terry Cummings (84-85) / Paul Millsap (15-16)
C: Chris Webber (00-01) / Ralph Sampson (83-84) / Andrew Bogut (09-10)

This one was “wind aided”. They were up like 16 with six minutes to go and he had 20. They force fed him the ball to reach 30. Lead was never in doubt.

THIS...Even on blowout losses, he sure will still be there to make sure he shoots himself to 30 plus.

in the same manner that OKC would allow Westbrick to get his streak of triple double by letting him reign with the ball, pass to PG13 every time to make sure he gets an assist. Lurk around the basket and his teammates would allow him to get the Ball on a rebound.

I think Westbrick had 4 or 5 assists going into the last quarter against Portland. Ridiculous

This reminds of WB's season 2 years ago.
Style over substance.
One cool stat, for one early playoff exit.

Depends on what you considere substance
During that stretch the rockets have about 65% wins.

The substance is making sure that you diversify your one trick pony offense.
You can win a series that way but you'll fall out in the 2nd or 3rd round if you don't.
It is also using regular season for resting your 2 key players (Harden, CP) since they either become tired beyond good use or completely break down due to injuries. We have seen this movie more than trice.

I mean, the Dubs caught a big break when CP3 went down last year...

These new NBA rules probably help the Rockets more than anything.

Other teams are also catching up in 3PT attempt rate so you could also say that their philosophy's value is depreciating.

About GSW series, last year was last year and they didn't win it.
When you don't win you look at your weaknesses and try to diminish them.
They currently compete in this year and they didn't address to me the most important takeaways from their WCF loss:
Harden's overuse and him being constantly fatigued in the playoffs.
CP3 has already been injured and seemingly always breaks down in meaningful playoff games, so when they say "if they only had him", I'd say "I told you he gets injured when the game gets more physical."
On top of that their new owner is cutting luxury bills wherever he can and you shouldn't be cheap if you are truly competing for the whole thing.

IMO they are a rather fun regular season team (pretender) than a true contender.
And Hardens impressive, but in the title talk non-important streak, looks like the highlight of their season.

Pretty crazy

Who cares?

The guy is definition of pure hog

yes he definitely hurts the rockets who otherwise would be top seed with Capella, the injured CP3 Rivers and Farried

Bigs - Pau, Amar'e, Issel, McGinnis, Roundfield
Wings - Dantley, Bowen, J. Jackson
Guards - Cheeks, Petrovic, Buse, Rip

Imagine if Harden, Westbrook, and Durant stayed together to figure it all out.  Or would you rather Curry, Durant, and Thompson as your top 3?

Curry, Durant, and Thompson is a far better combination.
