Can someone please explain how Boston can avoid the Wiz in round one if they lose this game???

1: They lose tomorrow against Orlando; or

2: All three of Washington, Miami, and Milwaukee win tomorrow (though a Milwaukee win over Philly will set up a second round date with Cleveland, so.....)

After the discussion last night, I was under the impression that if MIL loses and MIA loses, but WAS wins, then WAS will end up in 6th over MIL (they apparently own the tie-breaker) and MIA will be 8th with the worst record.

Is this not correct? Does WAS not own the tie-breaker over MIL?

Ah, you're right. That is also a possibility.

So what if the Wiz and Miami win but the Bucks lose?
What it the Wiz win and the Heat and bucks both lose?

I guess Rozier has somewhere else to be tonight. His head is not in this one.

I predict if we play Washington in the 1st round there will be at least one major altercation / fight / ejection somewhere in there....

76ers ain't losing tomorrow. They want to ride the momentum into the playoffs by going on a hard winning streak and to lock up the #3 seed over the Cavs.

Yeah, just not the same player we have been watching lately.  Not playing with discipline.

Welp.

Maybe we'll be lucky and Orlando pulls a rabbit out of it's hat and beats WAS.

If the Wiz and Miami win but the Bucks lose, then we'll get Washington with Miami at 6 and Milwaukee at 8.

The second scenario is what Jambr was talking about above - Washington at 6; Milwaukee at 7; Miami at 8.

First scenario, we play the Wizards; Second scenario we play Milwaukee.

no ones head has been in this game.  They managed to capitalize early in the game on made threes.  Now that they've stopped making jumpers, their garbage basketball is showing, and the Wizards are capitalizing.

Jaylen Brown disagrees!

The sad thing is that the Wizards haven't looked that good or motivated either. But now their crowd is getting into it.
