Yeah, this squad will not be nearly as good as last year, with Jaylen and Jason.  Then again, wins don't matter in SL.

We can debate about Yabusele, but I only want to see what the rookie Williams can do, in spite of SL being a guard-oriented league.

I’m in the same boat. I’ve seen enough of Ojeleye and Yabusele the past couple of Summer Leagues. Mostly just excited to watch Robert Williams throw down some thunderous dunks and wreak havoc on opposing guards with a couple nice blocks. It will be interesting to watch a Summer League where we don’t have a Top 5 player and no go to shooter.

Were I Ainge, I would cut Nader and sign Bird ASAP to the same kind of deal.

Yabu...it'll be interesting to have him featured on offense. He better dominate SL.

If this is the case we could be in trouble.

BIG trouble ......out of the whole nest of players , NOne are offensive minded  gun slingers .  Danny has picked all his role players as defensive specialist

We might not score 25 points or win any games .

I agree .....Yabu either dominates as 16 th pick , sophomore or he hits the road .  All,that playing out of comtrol is low IQ ,  he drives me wild with frustration . Defensively he can do ok ....but again Danny dosn't have anybody who can shoot .  Crazy   he ll,nee to score 20 -25 a game for Celtics to have any chance or competing .  These are kids and low leveo players , if they can t standout here , then i feel bad about his future.

If Summer Celtics win a game it will be like 40 to 38. where they shut down the other team , and barely make enought points to win a bizarre type game.  Surely there must be another IT somewhere in the world thatbis unstoppable offensively, has to be .

could this be the worst Celtics summer camp ever .  LOL. .....maybe i can try out .

You really sitting there on June 23rd worrying about the Summer League team and if they are going to win games?

Danny should sign LiAngelo Ball for a summer league try out. You know Big Baller Brand will be designing a LiAngelo Celtics' sneaker within a week of the announcement. Ten minutes after designing has started, BBB will have it online to take orders on the $500 pair of sneakers. Obviously, LiAngelo wouldn't make the team, and all of those sneakers that no one ordered will be sold at 5 Below stores for Christmas. The sneakers will be the ultimate gag gift. Just think of it...you can give someone a pair of $500 sneakers, for the low, low price of only $5. The look on their face after opening the gift would be priceless...either total happiness or completely horrified, with nothing in the middle. Danny, please make this happen.
TP but I still don't want them to sign ball

I predict that we will actually do pretty well.

Jay Larrañaga is an excellent coach that I believe will maximize the players on our rosters potential.

We might have one of the worst scoring offenses in the SL, but you can bet your money we'll be one of the best defensive teams.

Likely starters -

Yabu...it'll be interesting to have him featured on offense. He better dominate SL.
Semi...let's see how his offensive game looks against weaker opposition
Williams
Allen
Eddie...curious to see him if he can follow-up his strong showing late in the season

Bench-

Bibbs...shot 42.4 from 3's during his college career, including 45% and 43.2% his sop/junior yrs
Gibson...curious to see if he plays for us or another team, but we do need another ballhandler on the SL C's

Fringe NBA/G-League bigs should be able to get some good run on our team.

You mean, just like he did last year ::)?

Hitting a few open shots doesn't mean your offense isn't rudimentary. I want to see if he's made any improvements handling the ball, passing, creating offense, etc.

Nice eye roll, though.

Negged.

Lol, you really should ;D, and even if you don't make the roster the Celtics can hire you to keep Williams and Yabu (sidebar - we might not have gotten Doncic, but we certainly have our very own...Donkik ;) ::) ;D) out of Buffalo Wild Wings and pour water on Robert's face so as to wake him up in the morning, bahahaha ;D.

Jarell Eddy and Justin Bibbs.

Also, looks like their front line will be Semi Ojeleye, Guerschon Yabusele, and Robert Williams that should be interesting.

that's what I was thinking after the pick last night.  should be a really interesting league.  I don't know if Tatum will be playing (doubtful) but adding Bird and Allen into the mix should be a pretty decent team in the league

Tatum will not be playing.  Allen will, and Bird will only if he’s signed a contract by then (which is more likely than not, but it’s not a guarantee).

Larry is too old. He should stick to the 3 on 3 league.

I’m not sure how many people we typically carry but the Summer League roster looks to be pretty much set or close to it at this point.

Robert Williams III
Semi Ojeleye
Guerschon Yabusele
Kadeem Allen
Jabari Bird (if signed by then)
Justin Bibbs
Jarell Eddie
Jarrod Uthoff
Daniel Dixon
Demetrius Conger

That’s 10 confirmed guys, maybe we add like 2 more at the most but since we are only playing in one Summer League this year instead of two that might be the complete roster already.

I'm excited to see Jabari Bird play, I really hope he gets signed.

I'm also excited to have a Jordan Mickey/Ante Zizic replacement in Bill Williams that everyone can get excited about before realizing the guy can't even average 10 boards a game in summer league.

Oof. Yabu playing SL going into year 3...not a good look for this player. This is basically a make or break year for this guy.

My only hope for summer league is that Robert Williams neither has a 14PT, 18RB, 5blk game where he absolutely dominates, or an 0-8 FGA, 0-6 FT, 2RB, 6TO stinker.

I don't think I'd be able to take the hysteria either way.

Here's to him playing most of the games and getting 8PT, 8RB, 2BLK and showing some decent potential.
