Clearly you can see why I keep my day job.  I had a great vantage point of the banner going up.  I took this with my little digital camera.  The spotlight on the banner sort of wreaked havoc on the focal point, but you can still feel the excitement.

"Let me call him," Floyd said.

The man shook his head. "O.J. doesn't give out his cell," he said. "He'll call you."

Honestly, the closest I came to shedding tears was when the old timers walked out with the trophy.  I think that that symbolized a lot of what was getting Pierce so emotional - the place in team history.  It's a shame Larry, Chief or McHale couldn't participate for various reasons.  Pierce clearly has his place in the rafters now, and the moment of Hondo, Cooz, JoJo, Max & Tommy "passing the baton" really got me emotional.

Don't blame you... I think that's what got Pierce too.

Good God 2 years ago what a pipe dream that was. Good for you seeing it live.

Also, where was Russell??? I was surprised after he was so visible last year.

Yeh, not sure where Russell was.  It was great being there. Great atmosphere.
