I know it’s just 1 game, but do folks think the Wolves will upset the Nuggets and take the series?

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

Game 2 is going to be huge for both teams. Wolves get both on the road look out. Denver will be desperate to win at home. I think we will have a little better feel after that one. I still think Denver will win the series.

The Ant love on SM after winning gm1 in the 2nd rd is nauseating. My biggest annoyance when it comes to the nba is how hype trains start before anything has been accomplished.

Yeah…coming into the season I thought he was underrated. He’s now become overrated. He’s playing really well don’t get me wrong but dudes getting Michael Jordan comparisons and put into the top 5

recency bias i guess. also maybe people overrated the suns just because of their star power. their talent never fit together. and none of them play defense
The Suns were obvious frauds from the beginning. Who actually believed in them? IIRC most of us had them pegged.

As for Ant, maybe he's not underrated at all, but the pool of top-tier players has expanded. AKA guys who are good enough to lead a title team.

The influx of elite foreign players has really added parity at the top that wasn't present before. Top-10 now is what top-5 meant 25 years ago.

Oh man, Jarrett Allen is still out for Cleveland. Short-handed Cavs today.

Gary Harris is back for Orlando. That will help their backcourt problems.

Jamal Murray makes a big difference for them.  If he is not 100%, it is a pretty big impact.  Plus I think MIN is better than people give them credit for.  So bottom line, I have no idea since I have no idea what is going on with Murray, but I expect a tough series.

Okoro starting again after Marcus Morris' dud performance in Gm 6. Banchero has looked comfortable against Okoro. 6-10 vs 6-5. Dangerous for Cleveland.

Banchero 8pts already. Assisted another 6pts. 14pts total.

He needs a bigger body on him.

No Allen or Celtics killer Dean Wade. Orlando absolutely should win this game with those injuries. If Cleveland pulls it out and then get Allen back, then I am more worried about them.

So far, Orlando shooting well from 3

Max Strus vs Franz Wanger = a 6-6 SG vs a 6-9 SF
I Okoro vs Banchero = a 6-5 SF vs a 6-10 PF

Cleveland just too small at forward. These are Orlando's two best players. You cannot give both of them advantageous matchups to beat up on. Cleveland need more size on the floor. Mobley needs to play alongside a 2nd big man. Mobley or that 2nd big needs to check Banchero.

Donovan Mitchell stuck defending Banchero there.

If Marcus Morris struggles, I'd like to see Georges Niang on Wendell Carter at center with Mobley sliding down to cover Banchero.

Cleveland need a big game for one of these two guys. Marcus Morris or G Niang. Not good to be so dependent on those two but they are without Jarrett Allen. They need a 2nd big man to give them a lift.

Niang can give their offense a lift with his shooting.

Why do these announcers keep talking about home / road teams? Matchups are far more important than home / road. Orlando look comfortable because they have comfortable matchups. Their two best players have advantageous matchups. They are exploiting them.

Fultz has been so good for Orlando defensively. He is just so limited on offense. Can't shoot. If he can give you a few drives, he can be useful otherwise he is a huge net negative.

LeVert upping the tempo for Cleveland.

He is a guy I would like to see Cleveland trade in the offseason. He is a useful player but he is an on-ball offensive player. Struggles off-ball. Bad fit for D Mitchell and D Garland.
