53-29, it'll take the newbies a little time to get to know each other.

But boy, it's going to be a blast!

Hey there everybody. I'm new to Celticsblog but a die-hard C's fan since the summer of 1988  ;) I'll go with 59 wins. Because 5+20+34=59  :P

At first I thought the choices were age categories and voted accordingly and then realized that they were wins not years.  Kidding, but probably the older one is the more great teams we have admired and so we have higher hopes.  You younger guys are probably more cold hearted in your assessments - just a theory.  Someone mentioned wins associated with chemistry and I think the only difficulty there will be is each of them trying to be too unselfish at first rather than doing what they do best.  That should get ironed out pretty quickly, and I see quite a few smooth wins after that.

Thought I should play a little devil's advocate. Will the Celtics be better? Sure with Allen and Garnett added no question at all. Will they beat Toronto? Nope - not enough depth - remember - even the Celtic trio cannot play every minute of every game. Also - let me toss in that great equalizer - injuries. I can guarantee that at least one will be hurt for part of the season. This is not being critical of the Celtic management but simply how I see things. I watched Bird, Mchale and Parrish dominate during the 80's and loved it. Hell, I even shot hoops at a basketball camp in the 70's with a guy named Cousy! I admit that I am a Raptor fan but there is still a soft spot for Boston. Boston will surpass the Nets as they are beginning to show their age. Toronto followed by the Celts and then the Nets.

Does your injury prediction apply to all teams or just the Celts and their big 3?  Meanwhile, hope not for Bosh's sake, but it looks like Toronto already has an injury problem for 2007.

But if you think the Celts won't beat Toronto with a healthy big three then.........get ready to be leveled..............you are off your rocker!

Let's hear your healthy Raptors verses healthy Celtics prediction--the only prediction that's actually interesting.....

I am surprised at how low the win totals are on this thread.

This team should win 62 games easily.  All the holes in the roster - lack of veteran PG, lack of depth, lack of chemistry - will not affect regular season performance much at all.  It is against San Antonio or Miami in playoffs that it will appear.

Ray and KG have each won nearly 60 games in the West without nearly as strong a roster.

Do you have any idea how high a winning pct that is?  During Larry Bird's 9-year prime he only eclipsed the 62 win mark three times.....during the Russell-Cousy run of a gazillion titles in a row they didnt win 62 games during the regular season once! (granted they only played 80 games but my point stands)........and this team which has no PG, no C and zero depth along with no chemistry will easily win 62?   The '70 Knicks were considered one of the greatest teams of all time and they didnt even accomplish this......wow.

Cincinnati quarterback Carson Palmer, an ISFJ and the top pick in the '03 draft, will never be a great player because of the poor physical response to pressure. Niednagel believes Palmer's ideal sport is bowling.

48 wins.  It could go higher if we can avoid letdowns.  There are plenty of teas we should beat.
