My wife and I went to go see Iron Man yesterday and enjoyed it alot.  I hear that there is also some Oscar buzz around this movie, which is weird for a "Marvel" flim.  The story line is pretty close to the comics (okay, as a kid I was a comic geek!).  I wasn't too thrill at first about Robert Downey Jr. being Tony Stark, but he was great.  If you have a chance, go see it!
In certain extreme situations, the law is inadequate. In order to shame its inadequacy, it is necessary to act outside the law. To pursue... natural justice. This is not vengeance. Revenge is not a valid motive, it's an emotional response. No. Not vengeance. Punishment.

You must not have seen Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang. He was great in that movie. As for Iron Man, I saw it last night. I give it 4 out of 5 stars. A very good movie but not a great movie.

PS- If you go see it, stay until all credits have rolled. There is an extra scene. ;)

Downey is one of the best actors around. It was a very bold casting choice that apparently is paying off big time.

I might be -- I am truly disgusted in the way the Celts have been playing.

I saw it opening night at midnight.  A fantastic superhero movie indeed.  In fact, if I had to rank the genre, it would be something like this:

1. Batman Begins
2. Ironman
3. Spiderman 2
4. Blade (gets credit for jumpstarting them all in '97)

Remember to stay for the end! It's worth the 5 min scrolling of the credits.

I haven't give up - I love the team -- I want them to prove something at this point.  I have given and given and feel as if they have not this series.  If I am going stick with this team, I want them to do the same.  (Does that make sense - I ask in a 100% no sarcastic manner -- I feel that it's now a two way street and if I am going to be giving it my all they need to as well, and I am not sure they have been)

Sam Jackson is Colonel Nick Fury. At the end, he tells Stark about the Avengers Initiative.

I really want to see it.  I was actually planning on it today after the game but I will have to push off until tomorrow.  I have heard great things and am pretty excited about it.

Don't forget fellas that Downey Jr's character, Tony Stark, will also appear in the new Hulk movie next month.

Nope ... Robert Downy, Jr. as a superhero ... seems a bit incongruous, but I'd still like to check it out. Wonder what his nemesis is ... oxidization?!? lol! (like the Tin Man, just heavier)

i saw it. it was pretty good, but a little slow, as it set up the storyline rather than having more action.

a cool note for other wu tang fans. while on his jet, there was a ghostface video/song playing in the background (the whole ghost ironman/starks thing)
