tatum with 26 on pretty efficient shooting. what’s been the difference tonight? has he been driving or is his shot just falling?

anyone?

A bit of both. Plus he wasn’t complaining to the refs tonight.

thanks, radiohead! TP

Wow that was a nice play to get Tatum the open shot.

Did Houston change their broadcasters from a few years ago? I remember them being one of the worst/most biased broadcasting teams before, but they're not too bad right tonight.

So Grant is officially the best shooter in the league now

YIKES!
Just being a bit silly, given he went 0/25 to start his rookie season or something insane

how was grant left off the 75th anniversary team? that list now must have an asterisk.
They're waiting until he retires to not offend anyone. Once he hangs em up with 6 MVPs and 6 rings they'll add him to the 100th anniversary team

Are we done calling Grant a G-Leaguer?

His 3pt shooting has been phenomenal, but I’d like to see him play well against a team that isn’t the worst in the NBA.  Defense and rebounding is still suspect.

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

Tatum should have attempted a chasedown block. I've been seeing him not doing anything in transition frequently.

It's a real thing for modern players these days to prioritise not being postered. I always admired Jason Terry for willingly being immortalised on that dunk trying to play defence

I can't get too excited about beating the Rockets either.

The timing on offense appears somewhat better or is Houston's defense suspect?

Always been impressed by Horford’s speed on the break, even as he ages.  Never been a highlight reel dunker or anything but his functional athleticism and coordination are excellent.

i know this is crazy but in past years, when grant would shoot, my inner monologue was, “nooooooooo!” now when he shoots a three, i expect it to go in.

he still has a lot to work to do but if he can consistently knock down the three ball, he’ll play serious minutes.

One thing I've noticed - Tatum has complained on a minimal basis to the refs tonight. Hopefully Ime got to him.

Hell of an effort play by Grant.  Kid has put together an excellent game.
