Disgusting effort. Maybe this is the kick-in-the-face game that this team needs. CBS has been overly-reliant with IT. CBS playing Rozier over Brown is infuriating. I rarely see Smart-Brown together on the lineup.

Ditto, Brown>Rozier

At the risk of overreacting, this team is going to win 50 games and then lose in the first round again.  The defense has been dubious all season and it's going to be painfully exposed in the playoffs.

Mike

I don't think people realize this. They see these wins that we've been getting, though against teams that we SHOULD beat, but this type of basketball isn't going to get us anywhere in the playoffs. Simply trying to outscore other teams while playing next to zero defense and not rebounding is an absolute recipe for disaster in the playoffs.

Agreed.  Outside of CHA and WASH, I don't like our odds against most teams in the east. Still expecting IND to go on a run and ATL is not a great match-up. Hope they can rediscover their defensive intensity well before the playoffs.

I'd like to hear Brad's reasoning for leaving Rozier in. I can't think of any possible justification, especially with Jaylen playing well.

He has an unhealthy obsession with going small.

Whether that's from necessity or personal preference, I don't know. But he clearly goes that route way too often when the stats don't justify it, which is surprising since he supposedly relies on analytics so heavily.

I think he, for whatever reason, trusts Rozier more than the other options. Rozier, however, was absolutely abysmal, and Brad did nothing to adjust. Frustrating.
Isaiah, you were lightning in a bottle.

He seemed hell bent on making the Rozier gig work ......never seen anything to beat it

You do realize teams are scoring a ton of points this year. Offensive systems are just becoming tougher to defend.

Yes, but they're not quite as bad at us in those issues, along with having a significantly better offense with two iso scorers instead of just one. That's a big difference.

O efficiency - TOR (1st): 113.8  BOS (7th): 108.7

D efficiency - TOR (T-17th): 105.7  BOS (20th): 105.8

Rebounding Differential - TOR (T-18th): -0.3  BOS (T-27th): -4.0

That affords them quite a bit more leeway than us.

EDIT: They're also not nearly as dependent on the three with us, which also makes things different.

Funny how often these game threads are so much more active after a loss.

All this whining is painful. Worse than the game we played tonight.

But as usual half the posters here could out coach that idiot Stevens...What does he know anyway?

Embarrassing.

At least TOR lost too so we didn't lose any ground in the standings.

No need to panic. We've been playing well as of late.
