Andrew Nicholson the Next Kenneth Faried?

I only make this comparison because he is a very good player who would be small at the center spot in the NBA but could be a very good PF, plays for a small school and could do some damage in the tourny.

Saint Bonaventure plays FSU in the first round, and if Nicholson is able to do anything close to what he did yesterday the Bonnies have a legit chance.

He played 38 out of 40 minutes

for 26 points, 14 rbs 1 ast and 8 blks.

7-13 from the field, 2-4 from 3pt and 10-10 from the line


Adrian Woj tweeted yesterdy something to the effect of there being alot of NBA scouts watching Nicholson play FSU since they are one of the top defenses in the NCAA wanting to see what he can do.

I meant the next guy to lead his team to an upset in the tourny and a possible mini-run on their bracket. 

Not, "The next mid first round pick who starts for a low playoff team after their old PF signs in China"

Haven't seen much of him aside from yesterday's A-10 Championship game.
I see it though, the kid is crazy athletic, but he doesn't have that extra gear that I saw/see in Faried.

If St. Bona is gonna upset FSU and he'll have a major part in it, im in.

I agree that Faried is a higher energy player, but I couldnt believe how smooth nicholson's shot looked when he stepped back for 3's, almost effortless.  That shot at his height makes him a viable NBA player I think.

Nicholson is more David West then he is Faried. I will be interested to see how he does against Florida St's big front line and how he measures in the predraft. To me he looks to be 6'8-6'9 but with a very good 7'++ wingspan. I wouldn't be shocked at all if he developed into a nice pro capable of Brandon Bass type numbers.
