Russel  not that far off from becoming what Kyrie is , also younger cheaper , Lin puts some scoring punch in the second unit and we get future pick, or picks . Either way still the best in the east and avoid Kyrie walking away with nothing to show for it

If Kyrie was absolutely going to leave, and for whatever reason he gave Brooklyn assurances that he *would* sign there, then I guess we could do worse that Russell and an unprotected #1.

But, I think that alternate reality is pretty unlikely.
