Rich Gotham (not a basketball guy I know but still with an ear to what's going on) said tonight this guy will be best athlete on the team.  I'm real anxious to watch this guy play.  You're projecting down the road not taking players on current face value and just because a game is 'similar' to a player we know (think Bender/Porzingis) doesn't mean they'll develop the same way.

I'm good with the pick.

Woo.  After Tony Allen stupidly hurt himself, Gerald Green was by far the best athlete on our team at that time, but that didn't mean that he was better than Paul Pierce.  At least Green could shoot :-\.

Brown is going to be our Justice Winslow.  He'll struggle on offense as a rookie, but he'll be an immediate, top-15% wing defender almost immediately.  He's got the potential to be a lot more than that as he develops.

Yeah, and iirc, Winslow was so bad on offense that Miami was concerned, lol ;D. Sounds fun (sarcasm) ::).

where is the proof that Dunn WILL be a better Player than Brown when its all said and done.. What are you guys going on.. Is it because a bunch of People on TV said this was suppose to be the case? Just because some A$$hat spit out that Brown is more Athlete than ball player, does that make it So..

Come on guys.. Dunn could be a stud player But Brown has  just as much Chance to be a Stud as he does..  They will just play the game in a different way.. Danny Drove up the Value on Dunn to see what he could get but it was all a bluff and We all knew that.. No sense in bringing in another guard to try and use as leverage to get a Big that you never felt was worth the #3 anyway..

Brown is a player at a position that we really needed..  We had no use for  another point guard.. We already have 3 of them..  And one of them Smart is a guy that Danny and CBS really love.. Regardless of how much folks whine about his Shooting struggles. .

Gawd, you can just tell that he's much more intelligent than the average NBA player. Hopefully that's a virtue of his in the NBA rather than a vice that holds him back.

This guy has star potential. If the shooting the Celtics saw in his workouts were real he's like Justice Winslow with a jump shot. Winslow shot better in college but Brown's shot looks significantly better.

He's going to flourish going from the congested slowed down Cal system to one of the fastest offenses in the league. His athleticism and change of direction ability is going to really impress fans once they see it.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

Apparently this hasn't translated to his taste in clothing, though. What was that clown suit he was wearing? :P

But Brown's not exactly tall for a wing, is he? 6-6 or 6-7?

6'6.5. That size seemed to work just fine for our very own Paul Pierce.

Jaylen Brown looks like he belongs playing against the elite of this year's draft.
If he can develop his jumpshot, improve his handles and defense, he will be special.

Let's hope the "jump" for JB happens sooner rather than later.
But he went toe to toe with Simmons, Ingram, and Maker, and looked good doing it.
TP for gathering those videos!

Here's some clips of Jaylen Brown playing in highschool.

I like what he was wearing, to each her/his own.
It takes me 3hrs to get to Miami and 1hr to get to Orlando... but I *SPIT* on their NBA teams! "Bless God and bless the (Celts)"-Lady GaGa (she said gays but she really meant Celts)

Size won't be the reason he's not a hall of famer if that's what your asking

Pierce wasn't a hall of famer when he was drafted. He also came with no question marks about his size, but concerns about his inconsistent outside shot. Sounds familiar? :P

I think he'll be ok. Size is the last thing I'm concerned about here.
