Depends on what his goals are. I wasn't a huge fan of Sam Cassell but when he came in here he did well in his role. If Rozier, Morris, and Theis leave in FA you will need vets to help the bench and Rondo has a ton of experience.

I don't know how close Rondo and AD are but I loved watching them play together in New Orleans last year. If signing Rondo as a backup to Kyrie helps AD feel more comfortable about coming here, then I'm all for it.
