With all talk about trying to trade for Davis in July, what about Kevin Durant instead..he is a FA and must do a sign and trade with GS that have to involve either Horford or Hayward..he almost pick the C's before..Durant may want to sign with us cause of Irving and still great young core and picks..

Durant
Tatum
Irving
Brown
Smart
Baynes
Williams
Theis
3-4 1st round picks
Either Hayward or Horford
C/PF-Horford, Baynes, Noel, Theis, Morris,
SF/SG- Tatum, Brown, Hayward, Smart, Semi, Clark
PG- Irving, Rozier, Larkin

Have you seen Durant lately?  How can he handle the Boston media?

I don't think he's a 1 year rental.

Every time i watch KD .  Im amazed at his basketball IQ and skill.

Everytime i see him on fast break , i see awful accident about to happen .  He just looks like my grandmother , so frail looking. I breath a sigh of relief when he finishses a physical play and walks away.

I d go with Davis . I d be a nervous wreck watching Durrant at this point.

No kidding.  He has such thin skin and uses a burner twitter account to defend and promote himself and then tells reporters to grow up.  Smh.  The Boston media would have him in tears.

Durant wants out of GS, rather than lose him for nothing Boston offers Hayward and a future first.

GS stays hyper competetive.

NOP trades Davis for Tatum and resigned Rozier starting at 16 mill and declining over 3 years, and picks picks and picks.

Horford opt out and resign at less $$ per season over more years.

Resign Morris for off bench

Resign Kyrie at max.

Vet FAs on the cheap. for sg-pf spots

Irving/Wannamaker/Dozier
Smart/Brown
Durant/Semi
Horford/Morris
Davis/Baynes/Williams

Best team in the league by a mile. 3 aphas, 2 superglue guys, and a super sub.

I've thought about this.

We'd probably have to unload Hayward's contract and hope Horford doesn't opt in (maybe re-signs on a team friendly deal. If it means accommodating KD, I think he would.) Getting rid of Hayward's contract would be a very tall task.

We'd also have to cut ties with Rozier, Morris, Theis, Wannamaker, whoever else is a potential free agent (restricted or unrestricted.)

BUT getting KD would be WELL worth it (and we wouldn't have to trade Smart, Tatum or Brown.)

It's not happening but if it did, margaritas are on me.

The talent on the court far outweighs the National Enquirer nonsense outside the court.

I like Davis too, but I'd choose Durant any day of the week. Younger doesn't always mean better.

In a perfect scenario we trade Tatum + Williams + Yabusele + salary filler (signed buy out player) + Sac pick + Memphis pick + Boston pick for Davis. And then a sign-and-trade for Durant, with Horford, Morris (S+T as well) + Clippers pick going to Golden State.

Roster next season

Starting: Irving/Smart/Durant/Davis/Baynes, with Wanamaker/Brown/Hayward/Ojeleye/Theis as bench.

And during the playoffs we play a rotation of

Guards: Irving, Smart
Wings: Durant, Brown, Hayward
Bigs: Davis, Baynes, Theis

That's a pipe dream, but it is possible if Durant is keen on leaving Golden State and Ainge doesn't have to overpay for Davis.

Naw, not if he came here and we still had Kyrie etc, they would cater to him.

It would be Hayward for Durant, otherwise GS would do the deal. IMO

But that is ok.
