With all of these young guys coming up... with Derrick Rose presumably coming back next year...  and with 28 year old Rondo coming off a major injury and presumably losing his main offensive options (KG and Pierce)...  What's the chances Rondo will still be a top 5 point guard next year?

I'd say pretty high.
Presuming he comes back at all next year...

Of course.

Rose didn't come back at all...

FYI, Curry has 27 points in the first 13 minuets of this game against the Lakers.  He has 5 threes already.  Doesn't he need 17 to pass Ray's record for single season three pointers?

I've been saying this for 2 years now. There is not a doubt in my mind that Steph Curry will retire as the NBA's all-time leader in Three Pointers.

Rondo is not Rose. Everyone recovers differently.

Steph is lights out tonight. I think he's one if not the best shooter right now.

Too bad Stern and the officials robbed him of a win. Stwrn really wants the Lakers in thenplayoffs i guess.

Also Rose suffered his injury towards the very end of the season Rondo did his just before the all star break. He has already had a few months of rehab and what not. Luckily an ACL is no where near as bad as it once was.

I couldn't believe the stats they put up about him the other day.  Truly amazing.

  • Be the posts you wish to see in the world.
Also noteworthy: Curry currently has the 4th most 3s made in a single season, with 252.  He'd need 17 in the last 3 games to tie Ray's mark from 05-06.  Tough to do but not impossible.

Curry got 9 3s last night to pass the immortal George McCloud from one of those awful seasons where they moved the line in.  He needs another 9 in the next 2 games to pass Ray for most in a season.  He's definitely got a shot now.
