Pretty sure I'm the only person ever to root for both of these schools.
I find these schools about as different as ....idk....Harvard and....uh....Howard? I was going to go with Mississipi Gulf Coast Community  College.

Whatever, that's not important.

Tell us the story!

I root for UMass, although there hasn't been much to root for lately.

Other than that, I root for Tennessee - my dad's an alumnus there, and I grew up pulling for them.  I like SEC Football in general, though... just like the style they play, although I'm probably in the minority there... defense isn't sexy to a lot of people, although maybe as fans of these Celtics some of you will understand it better than most.

Once you are labeled 'the best' you want to stay up there, and you can't do it by loafing around.

Penn State - Where I went to school
URI - Where I grew up... nervously watching their bc game right now

I did a rotation at Women's & Infants and lived in the white house next to Tarbox Motors on Tower Hill Road in North Kingstown, just north of where Route 1 turns off Route 4 ... know it, by any chance? URI campus is very nice ... wish I could say the same for Rhode Island as a whole. ;)

Lived in Coventry for 11 years. Or as they pronounce it in Rhode Island, Carventry. Areas of the state are very nice. Most of the people and the economy and the job market and the politics and racial attitudes could use a lot of lot of work.

native Roe-Dye-Landa here.  Riverside born and bred.  Like most locals, totally parochial and focus on only what's within 5 minutes of where I live.

Root for PC and URI the local teams for b-ball.  Root for Clarkson (grad '87) for hockey.  college football around here really doesn't matter although I do enjoy getting out to see Brown play every once in a while just to soak up some atmosphere and make fun of the Brownies (other than when Clarkson comes to town every year to kick their butts on the rink).

“Being a Celtic is, every decision you make is about the team. Every cut you make is about the team. Every pass you make is about the team. You take yourself out of it. It’s not for everyone. If you don’t want to win, don’t want to play team basketball, and it’s more about you then you’re probably not a Celtic." Doc 2010
