Last night I enjoyed a commercial-free Tivo doubleheader of the Celtics-Wizards and Syracuse-Florida games.  Was just wondering what other affiliations we might have on the board.  For me, it's

#1, mostly because I grew up in Northern New York and that's the closest thing to a major sports team in that area.  They've been a surprise this year to say the least, but I'm very optimistic about this season.

#2 is:

because I went to school there.  I hated UNC with a passion til I started attending and realized that A. It's really contrarian to keep rooting against your own school's team, B. I loved the tradition and support there, and most importantly C. It's really easy and rewarding being a Carolina fan.  This is kind of a rebuilding year but no doubt they'll be a top-tier team again very soon.

I'm a BC Alum, I've been rooting for them since I was in 3rd grade. I still think Hardly is a good guy despite his dis like of my team.

I was starting the word "banner".  Not knocking UMass, they had a great run that year, but I just never could stand Calipari.

EDIT:  It was meanspirited either way - retracted.

My father spent some time in TX before he settled down so I grew up following these guys.

Guess I'll go with my grad school too.

I used to be a BC fan because I'm from the area, but now I'm a freshman at:

GO ORANGE!  Big win against Florida last night - this squad looks like a final four-type team right now!!

I'm officially starting the campaign to draft Rautins as a replacement for E House this year.  Seriously, non-Cuse fans, check him out next chance you get.  He's no superstar but is as pro-ready as any role player-level prospect out there.
