you have to call a spade a spade man. Paul is not getting his calls like Kobe.
Paul shot 6 free throws, the same amount as Kobe.

The real difference in this game, the Lakers have 11 fast break points compared to 0 for the Celtics.

  • You say when......
oh how i love docs rebounding mentality..."just forget rebounds and get back on D"...ya......rebounding mentality, once ON never stops...once off...never starts...EVERY BALL HAS TO BE YOURS..!
Yet the play you're complaining about was on the defensive end, which has nothing to do with Doc's philosophy.

stay with me here...rebounding is a constant state of mind...you have to be on it always..every ball is yours..not just the D ones...once you prime your self to think.."that rebound is MINE"..then those three rebounds and a point like the lakers got there doesn't happen. It has everything to do with it. No one shoots well enough to live on shooting alone, you have to follow your shot, wait till someone is under the hoop..and or have a rebounder.

defense is the issue. 54 points is way too many. lakers getting in the paint at will. unless this stops..boston is going to lose...

offense looks bad like it has the last few games...i am not happy. i hate the freakin lakers. i mean hate with red hot coals and flames from my eyes. i wish bad things on them..i don't even consider them a part of the human race

My man! And Joe Crawford is on the take.

What are people seeing who think rondo is playing ok? He has 2 points, one assist and one rebound.
The #1 job for a point guard is to help his team create high percentage shot attempts.

The Celtics are shooting 51.4% from the field and have 13 assists on 19 baskets.

----------------------------------------------

On the other end of the floor, Rondo has been matched up against Derek Fisher. Fisher had one basket on three attempts and one free throw.

On the basket, Rondo played so-so defense on the ball but he also sent him right (Fisher's weak hand) towards the baseline where there should have been help but the help was late (Shaq's fault).

On another possession, where Fisher got his one assist of the half, Rondo got a deflection on the cross court pass almost creating a steal but the ball fell kindly to Fisher who then beat an off balance Rondo into the paint and set up a nice baseline midrange jumper for Pau Gasol.

Other than those two plays, Fisher has barely been a factor on offense.

-----------------------------------------------

Rondo has been quiet (and he can definitely do more) but he is not playing badly.

He is not hurting the team.

Game is incredibly even:

same number of free throws for both sides
Lakers just +1 on the offensive glass
Boston made one more three pointer
Celtics turned it over two times more than the lakers
Lakers shooting 48%, Celtics 51%

The big difference is the Kobe is in the zone.  He's in playoff mode and on a serious tear. Not sure Tony Allen, Bruce Bowen or the Green Hornet could slow him down when he;s like that.

Saving himself for the second half .. I hope!!!
Stay classy, San Diego. Hello, Baxter? Baxter, is that you? Bark twice if you're in Milwaukee. Is this Wilt Chamberlain? Have the decency to say something.
