Wade might be Robin, but Lebron certainly isn't Batman.  What superhero has amazing superpowers but repeatedly fails when it's crunch time?  Doctor Octopus?  Hobgoblin?  Doctor Doom?  No, definitely not cool enough to be Doctor Doom.  Thoughts?

Skeletor?

(pretty sure that's Mike Brown serving him)
Yup

The writers of big events at DC Comics seem to have a hard time writing Wonder Woman and prefer to find a way to take her off the board so that she is not a significant factor at the end.

Who wants to Photoshop that comparison?

When I think of the Heat I immediately think of Bron. That makes it his "team". So far they're the Washington Generals

Was there a superhero that ever realized they weren't up to the task and then ran away from their problems and tried teaming up with other heroes and then still couldn't get it done?

I dont see Lebron as batman or robin, I'd say he's the Riddler.

as in riddle me why you pass the ball to Joel Anthony with the game on the line

  • You ain't the boss of the freakin' bedclothes.
Lebron is Kato to Wade's Green Hornet

I'd say LeBron is the Martian Manhunter because he has more ability than any other player but for some reason he's always a second tier hero, but J'onn J'onzz is the man and that'd be an insult.

Wade is Flash. Lebron is Aquaman. Bosh is Avatar.

Wade is no Robin.  He's the Flash, good enough to carry his own story but in the second tier when it comes to all time greats.

Lebron would be the Hulk.  Biggest, strongest and unbeatable when angry enough.  But when he's not angry he shrivels down to Bruce Banner.  I guess he could be the opposite of the Hulk too, since Hulk always shows up at the end and closes out the bad guys.

Good one.

imo LeBron should be...Sinestro...actually that's quite a good comparison. The green ring represents willpower and the yellow ring represents fear. 260 pounds of pure muscle and god given superior athleticism is enough to strike fear in everyone but without more substance, willpower always comes out the victor in the end. Nice coincidence that his mortal enemy is green as well.

Hahahaha so the Heat is Lebrons team? The Heat fans must be darn greatfull they also have Wade for some late game heroics. It must be a fans nightmare to depend on Lebron and Bosh for crunchtime!

This thread is simply EPIC, lol....I loved comic books growing up, and still try to follow them when I have time.

But Lebron James reminds me of Amazo:

He can do pretty much anything and everything, but still loses to better TEAMs..

I do expect the man to break through eventually, though. This could be his year. He is easily the best player in the game, but he has to WANT IT.....put MIA on your back regardless of who's there, and take them places, Lebron.

this thread will be pretty funny in a few months after the Heat win the title.

Bigs - Pau, Amar'e, Issel, McGinnis, Roundfield
Wings - Dantley, Bowen, J. Jackson
Guards - Cheeks, Petrovic, Buse, Rip

As will this comment when they actually don't win it.
