Looks like the Lakers have regained control of the trading war with Boston again.

#4 pick seems to be a better pick than what Tatum has showcased. Throw that in with Kuzma, Hart, and Ball and it's a battle.

Boston will need to give up both Tatum and Brown, on top of their stash of picks and maybe Smart for Davis to work as a rental. But we know where Davis' heart lies in- Hollywood, beaches, celebrities, warm-weather, and LeBron James. Plus he has a mansion there.

I think Tatum by himself has more value than #4, Kuzma, Hart and Ball....

also NO doesn't want to reload the Fakers and LeHoodlum ....and get to deal with Robber Pelinka .

Lots of reason not to trade with LA and team Leturd

Boston has to get a commitment for Kyrie before the draft if they want to get Davis.

If that happens...offer Tatum, five number ones (3 this year, Memphis and Boston next year), Williams and whoever else.

5 number ones?

Thank gid you are not the gm

3 number ones this year and Memphis pick. Plus Tatum and Smart.

I hope they avoid trading Smart or Brown with Tatum. But it will be tough.

So it looks like the same teams will be in the mix for AD:

C's
Lakers
Knicks
Clippers

Anyone else you think could see taking a chance on AD?

I don't see where anyone thinks the Clippers have any shot at getting AD. They simply don't have the pieces to get him, like at all.

I'm okay with the results. I mean, LAL and NYK ending up in the top 4 is a bummer, but there is a pretty big drop-off after tier 1 (Zion) and tier 2 (Morant) - kind-of like 2016 with Simmons/Ingram.

As for AD, I see this as advantageous to our chances. Why in the world would AD want to stay to play with a rookie? The Knicks and Lakers can assemble compelling packages, but BOS should still be able to beat them with the trusty Tatum, Smart, Yabu, 3 1sts one we've been talking about for months. Perhaps we can even keep MEM.

Yes, I think a lot of people are getting caught up in the Zion hype. No doubt he's got talent but he's not turning NO into a championship contender and NO wants to win championships, not just make the playoffs.
Any odd typos are because I suck at typing on an iPhone :D

  • A true Celtic plays with heart.
When stuff like this draft happens it really makes u question the legitimacy of it all.

I mean how many times in the last decade has a team losing a star player land the number 1 pick.

How many time has a team featuring lebron gotten a good pick?

Cavs won the first pick twice. Then once again before LeBron came home.

Griffin, the same GM, in question became the new faced GM for NOP. Then he wins it again.

It's based on your perspective, quite simply
We're the same and we're not; know what I'm saying? Listen
Son, I ain't better than you, I just think different

Lol Zion was really pulling for New York, and they almost immediately removed him from the lottery room after the selections were called because he was upset.

NY was gonna trade him to New Orleans anyway.

One tidbit from Celtics assistant GM Mike Zarren - the 14th pick came within one ping pong ball of landing at No. 4.

I wish he just kept that to himself.

ESPN says after lottery, Celts could trade Tatum, Smart and picks for Davis, and Pacers trade Turner for Holliday. Youth movement.

They’ll be in the mix. They have good assets. Just depends on what Griffin really wants.

And the Lakers would have too.  So it was either New Orleans or Memphis for him.

That's an interesting set of trades. Who is reporting that from ESPN - Hayes?

If you had your way, you would attempt to S&T everyone on the team, and fail miserably at it.

Touche.

That makes no sense.

There is only a couple of people i would explore sign and trafes for. And neither would net davis.

But I sure wouldnt sell the farm for davis.

Kyrie davis horford and hayward will not win it all and u run a big risk of davis still leaving

Tatum. Filler. A few picks get the deal done and it easily trumps lals offer.
