Well that is disappointing.

Don't we have enough problems finding minutes for Sullinger and Olynyk with Amir, Ty Zeller and Jerebko already on board?

Do we really need to add a PF who is going to complicate that even further?

Does this mean less PT for Sully?

Who knows what his new team will do with him. I expect him to be gone soon. While many of us here don't like Sully, the general impression I've seen elsewhere is that he's a good, young PF with potential to be more. I think we'll get decent value for him.

I dont get it. What does GSW get out of making this deal?
Wallace has a cheaper contract

How close or far do contracts have to be when making a trade?

Lee was rusty, but looked like he still had a very decent game in the NBA finals.  Great rebounder.

Boston gets a shorter deal and a possible player flip
Golden State gets cap relief

  • Peace it's a board. We all will never agree.

They don't have to play David Lee.
Wallace Contract can be stretched and Lee's can't so. The only take a 3mill hit for the next 3 years and will; pay no tax as of right now.

Well, we've all wanted Danny to land us that first All-Star caliber player...

I like the deal. Lee still is a legitimate NBA talent and we're now going to have over $35 Million in expirings, that's just ridiculous.

Remember, this is not a team.

It's just an amorphous pile of assets that nobody wants.

Win/Win

And Crash gets to go to the champions with a chance to win a ring next year!

Win/Win/Win

Exactly what I hope for those ex-Celtics who served this team so well.  Which is why the Bass to LA deal is so disappointing to me.

Here's an updated visual depth chart for the Celtics:

David Lee and Amir Johnson should start. Two best big men on the team.

Two guys who probably have no future here and will be gone in 12 months time and whose playing time will come at the expense of young up and coming players.

iirc, it was within 25% + $100000 but someone with a better understanding of the CBA could verify/correct that.

we don't get a shorter deal as they both expire after 2015/16
