These aren't the same Celtics. I think Miami will come out swinging and will probably lead in the 1st half, but then the C's settle in and comeback in the 2nd half. I'm feeling a big Jaylen game, around 31 points. He feels due for one.

Celtics lead whole game but Miami keeps it mostly in single digits. Boston responds to every Miami run and pulls away late to win by 10-15 points.

Boston gets Miami's best shot tonight. And getting up 2-0 would mean it is pretty much over. Boston will get at least one in Miami. But I have an uneasiness about the game tonight.

Think tonight we will really see if Boston has indeed learned their lessons of letting down at home and allowing inferior teams to steal games from them.

I think there is a possibility it goes back to Miami 1-1. Boston wins game 3 and Game 4 becomes pretty much the Heat's season.

There's no reason on earth it shouldn't be another blowout. The only game that should be relatively close is game 4. If Boston is going to win it all, it needs to beat teams like this like it should beat them.

Are they mentally tougher/more mature  now than in the past? We'll find out.

Thinking it is over if we hold home court seems a bit of a stretch.  Heck, I won't even be comfortable going up 3-0, given what happened last year's playoffs.  LOL.

This isn't so much of a test of the Celtics mental toughness as it is a test of their ability to stay focused.  This is kind of the same thing, but I see it as a little difference.  I predict that they are going to build a big lead.  Then are they going to coast and let them back in?  Or can they just stay focused and win every quarter?  To me, that should be the goal, to win every quarter.  No lapses.  No let ups.  Don't get too high.  Keep the effort and execution steady.

Exactly. The Celtics need to learn to step down the gas even when they're up by 30 esp against this depleted Heat squad. They need to be as dominant as the 16-17 Warriors. I understand being up 3-0 and losing Game 4, but if this somehow becomes a 2-2 series or we lose Game 2 then I'd feel a bit concerned about the mental aspect of this team (per usual) moving forward.
