I know most people will expect either Tatum or Brown or both to make the jump, or Hayward to return to form, but I'm going with Kanter. I think Stevens is going to maximize his potential and make him look like a borderline all-star this season.

Hayward, I hope. And I’m really pulling for Rob Williams.

If we’re going with what we hope, I have to say Tatum.  That would give the C’s 3 legit all-star level scorers (with Hayward). IMO, that would make the biggest difference.

Don’t see Williams doing anything significant this year.
I think brown will be traded and Tatum will become the leader of the team.
It could be a warriors like scenario when they traded monta Williams to give the keys to steph curry.

My vote is for Gordon. If he improves back to what he was in 2016-17 it will be a huge plus for our team.

Jayson Tatum.

I think this season Tatum will take the next step and become an All-Star caliber player.

Hayward is a close second because if he returns to All-Star form, his production will increase and he will be the impact player the Celts were hoping to get when they signed him in 2017.

tough call.  it'll be one of Brown, Hayward or Tatum.

I will say this though, if we're able to have this debate at the end of the season, the C's will have had a very good year.  if we only have one clearcut choice, I don't think we'll have had a particularly good year.

Brown will probably "improve" the most in terms of counting stats if Stevens actually throws away the yoke he has on him.

I actually agree with you.

The problem is Brad doesn't seem to like Jaylen Brown.

Even in his rookie year, as a 3rd pick overall, Brad didn't give Brown significant minutes.
That's unusual for a player drafted so high.

I think Jaylen will thrive under a different coach.

It's frustrating at times tbh. I know he did play a good amount, but a player of his quality should be playing even more. I vividly remember the loss against Charlotte where he got pulled by Stevens after absolutely lighting it up, and we blew the game due to everyone else but Brown playing hero ball. I think Brown can be a number 2 guy on a contender even if he doesn't make any huge leaps and just polishes his game a bit as he gains more experience, and possibly be that Kawhi/Butler type of guy if he does make the leap.

If he makes the team, Tacko Fall as he has a lot of room to grow.  Carsen Edwards is going to be our backup guard at some point in the season, I think as well.

Hayward will be a return to normalcy, I don't think of that as "improvement."

I cast my vote for the Time Lord, Sir Robert the Third.

I vote for Tatum.

Too talented a player to have another disappointing season.

He just needs to get more aggressive on both ends of the floor. If he does, he becomes the player he's capable of.

Too bad he'll probably be playing out of position as the starting PF, but oh well.

Agree with the bolded, his size and length would be a handful for SFs to handle. People talk about PFs not being able to keep up with his speed, but honestly most PFs are big wings nowadays, with exceptions being guys like Griffin and Porzingis, both of which are guys that Tatum can't handle on defense. It'd be a different story if Tatum grows a bit more and put on some Giannis/Bron level bulk though.

Yeah, but those two guys didn't play in the NBA last season. The poll is who will make the biggest improvement this season based on prior NBA performance.
