Today's the 5th, by the way, not that it matters much.

This game will probably decide HCA in the 1st round.

HCA will probably decide the series.

Not an exaggeration to say this is a vitally important game.

I think that’s a stretch.

I don't.  The Pacers have played the Celts tough this year.

Bogdanovic can score on the Celts.

Collison can navigate the court and make plays (he has 13 AST to 3 TO in games against the Celts this year)

Sabonis, Turner, and Young can make plays inside against the Celts' bigs.

I think the last-second-win at the Garden last week was a good preview of what the series would be like.  Very close.  Each team likely protecting home court.  Series would probably come down to a few plays.

The Celts unquestionably have more talent, especially in terms of invidual scoring.  But the Pacers are more disciplined, play harder, and most importantly play as a team when the going gets tough.  This Celtics team has not done that all year.

Don’t see it. They just aren’t a very good team without Adipe, no matter how you slice it. I believe they are 15-17 (and a lot of those wins the opposing teams sat stars) since the injury. If the Celtics need homecourt to beat them, that’s ridiculous.

They are certainly a volatile group, but still a mediocre (at best) team. I don’t even think they are a bad matchup for us like you can say about some superior teams consistently losing to an inferior one.

We beat them without much difficulty, IMO. We are currently 2-1 against them, two close games that went each way and one absolute shellacking by us.

You know the Celts are only 15-13 since January, right?

I agree that the Pacers are a middle of the road team, but so are the Celtics.

The Celtics are below .500 on the road this season.

Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

The Celtics are below .500 on the road this season.

Not sure of the relevancy of their record since January opposed to the whole season, as they are relatively the same team throughout (sans a bunch of injuries and “resting”). Pacers are obviously very different now (25-11 with Oladipo, 22-21 without him).

There is zero good reason to think when the playoffs begin, we would have any difficulty with a team that has no true star like the Pacers who are basically a .500 team.

If you’re seriously concerned about playing on the road over a 7-game series against a .500 team, there’s no point watching the playoffs because they will have zero chance against the Bucks or Raptors.

Celtics can easily split 4 games in Indiana.

The 5th seed. Leaves a sour taste in my mouth just thinking about it. Can they please finish the season on somewhat of a high note?
