http://www.examiner.com/article/boston-celtics-trade-rumors-rajon-rondo-trade-to-denver-nuggets-possible

Again its just a rumor and nothing to worry about yet, for you rondo fanatics

But i can see a trade like this possble. As the article mentions, Denver wants to win now. Their team is all about high octane offense vs strapping down and playing bradley like defense. Rondo would probably like this kind of system better

So the article doesn't mention who are the guys possible coming over here. My idea would be

To Denver: Rondo
To Bos: Lawson, Mozgov, 1st round pick

Lawson is considered a top 7 pg in the league. Unlike Rondo he can really shoot plus doing other pg duties really well.  He can't rebound like rondo but also won't let his man drive by as easy.

It's not a rumor, it's speculation by a talking head about what *he* thinks might possibly happen. And Lawson isn't really a top level pg, or a good/great defender.

Faried would have to be involved. Maybe this:

Rondo, Terry and Collins
for
Lawson, Mosgov, Brewer and Faried

Probably the least we should ask for a top 3 PG in the NBA. I don't do any deal for Rondo with Denver unless both Lawson and Faried are on the table. Even then I'm iffy about it.

rumor or speculation, just wanted to see what people thought of getting lawson here

Can i ask those that say no, what are you actually expecting for Rondo?? The world?

we have to be honest here of what we could get for him. And yes he should be traded imo. He needs a new coach to set him straight like Doc did 2-3 years ago. Even if doc leaves, i can see alot of friction happening. If rondo leaves , he has to be the one who has to adjust. Maybe other teams don't care about his puzzling ways to walk up with the ball or dribble way too much in one spot.

Whatever the case is, Rondo is scoring triple doubles, left and right and we can't win. Even if it shouldn't be him you trade, there is nobody else on the team that gets you the value as he does back.

Denver is not trading both Lawson and Faried for Rondo as the center piece. It would have to probably include KG

imo you can't lose kg. Pray that he finishes out his contract. The guy is just a very good role model on the court, intense, and still pretty skilled.

Don't you know? The only good trades are the ones that CLEARLY favor the Celtics and CLERAY hurt the other team.

Anything short of that, we don't want it.

I was thinking more along the lines of Courtney Lee and Jason Terry for Lebron, Wade and Bosh.

Oh alright...I'll throw in Fab Melo IF I HAVE TO

Danny Ainge says alot of things. Most of them don't turn out to be true.

Yeah if Ainge could get Cousins and Evans for Rondo he would. When DA talks I am more inclined to believe the opposite of what he says. Ever since the KG injury in 2009 I take what he says with a grain of salt.

KG: "Dude.... What is up with yo shorts?!"

Isn't Lawson on the last year of his rookie deal before his extension kicks in?  How would that trade even work... he's on the books for 2.5 mil.

Would be a dumb trade.  I'm not that high on Mozgov or Lawson and that 1st rounder wouldn't be a lotto pick.

Phew.  I was concerned that this might be a legitimate rumor.  I'm relieved to see that it's just Chad Ford's garbage being recycled.

Well, of course as fans of the Celtics we want trades that favor the Celtics and not the other team.  Why would we want trades that benefit other teams more than they benefit us?  If those are the only kinds of deals available, then . . . guess what? . . . don't make a deal.

This "rumor" is preposterous.

That's the nicest thing I can say.
