I've been meaning to make this thread for months, and it's finally here. I don't know if it's already been created prior to my entering the community.

:)

My username comes from when I tried to make a Twitter account... it was @CelticsConcourse and when I joined this site, I said "might as well use it again" and I took out the "s".

And you?

Roy Hobbs = one of Paul Pierce's nicknames with the training staff, and a name that he uses at hotels on the road.  It originates from the book / movie "The Natural".

Roy H. is obviously a shortening of that.

aporel#18 is "a por el #18" which is a Spanish expression for "let's get #18".

I'm changing it for aporel#19 very soon. Wait til next year  ;)

  • Another undersized Celtic...
It came from my Dad...

Started watching basketball in 1980 with my Dad when I was five years old. Larry Bird had just come into the league, and my father would always be shaking his head watching him. One day I asked him if his favorite team was the Celtics. He said, "No, not really a Celtics fan, just a Bird-watcher."

Back when I was in high school and college, George Yardley was a top scorer in the NBA(in the Hall of Fame)....anyhow while playing horse, my version of trash talk ( there really wasn't any then) was "hardly yardley"

Just randomly thought of this name when I was playing Maplestory eight years ago! Been sticking with this ever since. It's like my go-to name I suppose. Yeah I know it sounds kinda childish and such. Don't judge! Lol ;D

I used to be Slam on the original version of this site (college nickname) and then the someone with no scruples/ethics/morals swiped it when the site went to version 2.0 and everyone had to reselect their names just because he wanted it regardless of someone else already having it.

had to pick another so I used that and tacked on the nickname my mother-in-law uses for me.

Hah, I went and checked you out on dA before I even read that last line :]

Great stuff!

I'm on there too, kiorrik.deviantart.com, just started following ya. At work right now, but I'll look through your art later today. Already love the comic-related work, and the Darksiders image ;)
