Offer Vucevic a fat contract of 25 mill.

Orlando wont match that cause they need wings deparately. So exploit that need and offer hayward and a pick(20?) for vooch sign and trade and augustine.

Draft Johnson and Thybulle

Then, since we still have 30 ish mill in capspace, offer thomas bryant 11 million, split the remaining 19 mill over the morris twins.
Room mle on wing depth(hood?)

Smart/augustine/minimum
Brown/Johnson or herro/
Tatum/morris/thybulle
Vucevic/morris/yabu
Bryant/baynes/williams
Hayward??

Also that is a slow front-court is sloooow
'23 Historical Draft: Orlando Magic.

PG: Terry Porter (90-91) / Steve Francis (00-01)
SG: Joe Dumars (92-93) / Jeff Hornacek (91-92) / Jerry Stackhouse (00-01)
SF: Brandon Roy (08-09) / Walter Davis (78-79)
PF: Terry Cummings (84-85) / Paul Millsap (15-16)
C: Chris Webber (00-01) / Ralph Sampson (83-84) / Andrew Bogut (09-10)

hoping the Adams trade with OKC would fit this goal for the C's.  not enamored with using cap space on the centers on the market this year
What realistically are we sending them that also matches their goal of competing for a title next year?

I just don't see it.
the idea is to take salary off their hands to cut their tax cost.  Baynes would fit the bill as a serviceable big they could use
I don't think they're going to salary dump at the cost of winning now.

Not with the Warriors hobbled and the Rockets fueding, the west wide open next year.

I don’t think they could realistically get a player that can help them. The thunder are deep into luxury tax and relief will be tremendous to them.
They can dump other less crucial players to lower their tax bill.

I don't see why a win now team would move their only reliable big man.

Big men are relatively cheap on the free agent market.  Moving Adams knocks them significantly out of the luxury tax, opening both the full MLE and the BAE up to them.  Dumping Schroder will put them near enough to the tax that they’ll only have the taxpayer MLE, and they might not want to spend it on account of being in the repeater.
What quality big men can they get to contend with for the MLE/BAE?

We should just sign them if they are that good.
The idea is that we get compensation for reducing OKC's tax burden. In the scenario we are in that is more valuable than signing a MLE center.

As for who they could get; Dedmon, Bryant if he took less to be on a contender, Bogut and Chandler as a vet presence, Robin Lopex may be a good option too

i don't think CBS will allow DA to. trade Hayward anyway.  They let him linger till his contract expires or he asked to be traded.

  • You ain't the boss of the freakin' bedclothes.
I'd rather trade for a guy like Steven Adams than sign Vucevic.

I dont think CBS really has alot to say when it comes down to it.

If Danny wants to trade him, he will.

Bryant is crazy speedy.

Vucevic is quick enough to play the pf.

Morris played last season.

Baynes has to be traded. It helps both sides.
