Grizzlies reserve sharpshooter Luke Kennard – a career 43.5 percent three-point shooter – is a player rival teams are keeping an eye on amid Memphis’ early season woes, according to NBA executives who spoke with HoopsHype. Kennard is owed $14.76 million this season and has a team option clause also worth $14.76 million for the 2024-25 season. Reserve forward John Konchar is also a candidate to be dealt before the February trade deadline. The Celtics, Warriors, and Lakers are among the teams who’ve kept tabs on Konchar’s situation from afar, HoopsHype has learned.

Yeah, that's my bad.  Konchar makes more sense.

His shooting really fell off last year, and has declined further this year.  Is he any better than Lamar Stevens at this point?

Memphis is definitely a possible seller this year. They'd want to retool to be good next year.

I wondered about Aldama previously. I like Roddy (although I think their coach really likes him and plays him over Smart sometimes). I also have been a fan of Tilman and Lofton for different reasons. I think Tilman is more ready to contribute to a winning team right now though.

Tillman would be a nice backup big if we could prize him away. Maybe a first round pick could do it.

He's a pending free agent and is currently "week to week" with a knee injury, so I don't think it would take a 1st.

Yeah, I don't get it. Is Konchar decent at defense or something? Or, is he a OK at ballhandling and passing? I don't see how getting another shooter helps us. A Kennard you could at least justify as, might as well have one of the best shooters out there. Still, more shooting shouldn't really be their biggest priority now.

SF/SG- Tatum, Brown, Hayward, Smart, Semi, Clark

Well, they say he's a tweener with short arms and probably doesn't have a position in the NBA but He seems to be a good basketball player...

Yes, preferably a vet with playoff experience.

From the same Hoopshype article:

Quote
Reggie Bullock had interest from several teams, including the Bucks, Heat, Celtics, Clippers, and Pelicans, league sources told HoopsHype. Given his proven 3-and-D capability and current role in Houston, he’s also a name to watch
