just rewatched the last play. looked like it was supposed to go to morris on a backscreen but he got pulled back from behind. no wonder he was so mad.

could have been a win but they also showed pretty well even while shorthanded in a really good team's gym. we've seen a lot worse this season.

On the replay, Morris was def pulled.

Only 6 free throw attempts in a 1 pt game.  That's rough.

Taking the glass half full on this one. Irving was off for most of the game, Hayward/Baynes didn't play. We gave the team with the best point differential in the league a run for their money with their full squad on their own court.

Compared to the Lakers/Clippers losses, this one doesn't sting nearly as much.

You got to pass it. No hero ball. Kyrie is a good player and is fun to watch. But I don't think he is good for this team.

Celts only had 6 FT attempts.

Horford had success posting up Ilyasova, but he couldn't do it against Lopez.

A good game even if the Celts lost.

Now we know the Celts are on par with the elite teams in the east.

Wow, watch the replay of the last play again. Middleton is straight up holding Morris back right in front of the ref with no call. Just complete garbage officiating.
I’ve given up on believing that they’re simply bad at their job. Definitely more than that

That was a tough shot.  I think we could have drawn up something better than that.

If Stevens draws up a good out-of-bounds play with a couple of screens and the ball goes to the open shooter, Kyrie gets angry if it's not him. So Brad, being afraid of Irving like he is, gives him the ball and lets Kyrie try an impossible 1-on-3 shot.
When has what you described ever actually occurred?

That would have been a really tough pass to Horford.  Kyrie would not have been able to make the pass until he got past giannis and by then he would have run out of time.  Kyrie made the play he had to make.

I thought the final play of the game should've been a midrange jump shot than driving into the packed lane. Live by the jump shot, die by the jump shot.

Eh. I get the thinking. There's a better chance of drawing a foul going to the rim than taking a midrange shot.

You're not going to the FT line if you keep shooting 3s.

That's just how the Celtics play.

If the Celts want to get to the FT line more, get a player who can score inside on a regular basis.

By who?  Kyrie?  Horford?

In terms of passing it to hordord, Kyrie needed to draw Giannis is with the drive and by then it was too late.  Pass it earlier and Giannis easily makes up the distance and probably blocks hordord a shot.  Dude is long as hell.

Eventhough I think it may have been a tough pass, it probably was the better basketball play. Just watch film and move on. Also have to play Jaylen more

You mean the shot that was a) not open and b) not the designed shot, but a result of Hayward’s mistake?

Kyrie only gets upset when the set is ignored. He’s even facilitated game winners, but that doesn’t fit your hilarious narrative of Brad being “afraid” of Kyrie

Hayward didn't actually run the play that Brad drew up though. It was supposed to go to Al.

I just wish the anti-Kyrie bunch would at least - bare minimum - present facts.
