Just when you though it was the same old, same old the Celts D stepped up in the last 6 minutes of the 3rd and kept it up in the 4th.  The catalyst: Tony Allen.  TA was really the only guy showing some energy in the first half and kept it right up in the 2nd half.  Big Kudos to Big Baby for a huge 2nd half as well.  Definitely the longest sustained excellent team defense we've seen in a while.

My votes:

TA 3
Baby 2
PP 1
Yup

  • Rondo = Good
TA...he kept us in the game early and made sure we kept the lead late.  Only other player who came close was Glen Davis, but most of the biggest plays of the game involved TA.

TA : 3 (unexpected hero but what a performance! Awesome D on Wade and good offensive contribution)

Baby : 2 (terrible first half, great second half, key rebounds and buckets, game-changer in our comeback, he ignited it).

Pierce : 1 (for his hot stretch in the 3rd that kept us in the game while we were about to sink)

And Rondo deserves consideration too but I didn't find enough votes.

Can it be anyone but TA? 3 points to him - he contributed over and above what was expected of him.

@ points for Glen Davis for his energetic play off the bench.

Nice comeback win last night. The Celtics indeed flipped the switch but had to endure Miami's early punch before the defense and rebounding kicked in. To me, it was a community effort so I spread the praise around the locker room. Let us hope we can keep it up for Game 2 and hold serve.
