"Let me call him," Floyd said.

The man shook his head. "O.J. doesn't give out his cell," he said. "He'll call you."

Just after posting this in response to hearing about a friend who seems to be at the end stages of a long battle, I had one my favorite customers come in.  His wife died after a long fight with cancer.

Agreed... not much I can say. Sorry man, I'm thinking of those lost and the families.

Have a good friend who is at the end of the road as I type.  He took a lot of hits, but continued living his life to the fullest til very near the end.  An incredible guy, who I'll miss a lot.

On another end of the brutal cancer spectrum, I have had the privilege to spend some time recently with my daughter's 4 year old friend who has been receiving treatment since last winter.  She's had a lot of ups and downs, but is currently doing well.  The big test will come when she goes in for stem cell surgery this week.  She will be unable to leave the hospital or her room for six months after the surgery, but if all goes well she should have the cancer licked.

It is in her honor that I have been running a sale on eBay to benefit the JimmyFund.  I've been selling the remaining inventory of Caped Cod T-Shirts from my old shop.  Please have a look and if you feel so inclined grab a stylish T and support a great cause.  I've raised close to $500 so far, but I have a bunch more shirts left still.

The girl I love more than the world in itself has cancer.
And she lives far away so I can't be there with her to help her feel better.
I pray for her health and safety,.
Practice? Whatchu talkin about practice?
