Well, he's right, the Pelicans were clearly screwing with the Lakers.  They never had any intention whatsoever of dealing Davis to the Lakers.

But you reap what you sow, and Magic has been found guilty of tampering with other team's players on two occasions now.  Nobody is going to feel sorry for him.

Is being complicit in a media campaign to sabotage two franchises (New Orleans and Boston) “good faith”?

pretty much this. Magic acting like the poor victim is hilarious. Why would the NOP act in good faith when the media campaigns goal was for the NOP to take a lesser deal to benefit his lakers?

It honestly wouldn't even surprise me if the Lakers actually didn't offer that grandfather offer that's being reported and the Lakers just had those reporters leak the "fake offer" so that people think they tried and also so that the Pelicans FO would look stupid for not taking that offer  ::)

Maybe the initial low-ball offer was what they truly offered and the Pelicans didn't take the bait despite all the pressure and media attention.

It's weird to coerce somebody into a negotiation for their most valued possession that they never want to give up for any price and then complain that they're not willing to engage in good faith negotiations.
You’ll have to excuse my lengthiness—the reason I dread writing letters is because I am so apt to get to slinging wisdom & forget to let up. Thus much precious time is lost.

Magic Johnson..... prime example of the Peter Principle.. great basketball player. Great personality that corporate america used to parlay some businesses into black communities. Not a good coach, not a good manager, and not a good president of the lakers.

Honestly.... the lakers is one of the most valuable sports franchises in the world. Where else would a magic johnson get to run an organization like that. They better get him some back up and I am not talking about Kobe or LeBron.

Was it really necessary to tell that story about Simmons reaching out to the Lakers? I wonder how the Sixers management will feel about that. Since Magic is an official of the Lakers, would that have been tampering as well, assuming they did get a chance to work out?
