At the least he should be strongly disciplined via a suspension.

I think it is gross humor that borders if not crosses the lines of "rascist" and "misogynistic"

+1 . I was less bothered by the "few inches" and more by the " Of Pain."

Agreed.

And what exactly does he mean by this:

"The couple-inches-of-pain tweet overshadowed my sincere celebration of Lin’s performance and the irony that the stereotype applies to pot-bellied, overweight male sports writers, too."?

Is he suggesting that he has a modest member himself?

The fact that he calls himself pot-bellied is kind of funny too.

Its like KG calling his self "a little excitable".

some form of disciplinary action is warranted.  it was inappropriate, insensitive, and disrespectful.

It made me laugh, it's a bit harsh, but get some thicker skin please, America.

Just my opinion of course.

If we're keeping with the trend he should suffer the same fate as Don Imus.

Even though I'm desensitized to comments like these and not really fazed by them.

Slightly off-topic, but I can't help but think that Lin-Stoudemire will become CP3-Griff East Coast..

Thank you-TP!

I too wish my fine country would just get the heck over itself and stop acting so outraged over things like this.

Sure, it's kinda mean.  But man did I laugh.

End of day, they're just words.  What ever happened to sticks and stones but words will never hurt me?

Floyd Merriwether arrives on the scene to bail out Whitlock. JW should send him a fruit basket.

Noooooowwww I'm starting to feel bad for Lin. Maybe there's something subtle going on here that I don't realize. Just ridiculous. Sometimes I think our country needs to grow up.

Yeah, the Mayweather stuff is ridiculous.  The guy is a pretty vile racist, but I guess when you're paid to beat people up, fans see that as okay.

I HATE Jason Whitlock but I don't think is the worst thing ever. So he made a racist joke about Asians? So what. He apologized, move on.

All races stereotype each other. North hates South. China hates Japan. Irish hate Italians.

Turn the page. I am in an interracial marriage (Asian-American wife) and I always contend that people need to be more open to this stuff.

It is okay to constantly stereotype Asians as smart, but you cannot stereotype them as being smaller downstairs?

Asians have larger cranial capacity and are (on average) smaller in that region. Both are anatomical facts. So what. Get over it.

And Lin is gaining much of this praise BECAUSE he is Asian. That cannot be argued.
