That was GREAT.
TP.
Now if we could just lock Kobe in a room, tie him down, and have him listen to it for about a month...
Explain to me why we would want to?
Perhaps because he's stated that LA doesn't need to make changes, even though for two yrs in a row now they've been humbled.
BUT...I see your point. As a Celtics fan I suppose I'd rather he walk around in ignorant bliss.
Exactly. I firmly believe that if he better utilized the pieces around him, they'd be championship-caliber. He's still one of the best players in the NBA overall.
EDIT: I don't think bliss is a feeling Kobe is capable of, except maybe the day of a championship parade.
As I was surfing SS and R, I saw an article on yesterday I believe that stated that Kobe was going to have a meeting with Mitch.
I'd love to be a fly on the wall in that one.
I really believe CP3 was the straw that broke LA's back. I can't see any fathomable way they can retool, here.
I suppose, though, that IF they did keep the team as is, they could hope for a 2012-13 playoffs where the Spurs were older, and perhaps they could meet OKC in the WCF.
Even with THAT scenario, OKC is STILL getting better. Durant is already nearly unstoppable, and Westbrook is getting more confident.
No easy fixes for LA.
