Josh McRoberts really took the playoffs loss hard I guess.

That was GREAT.

TP.

Now if we could just lock Kobe in a room, tie him down, and have him listen to it for about a month...

Explain to me why we would want to?

Perhaps because he's stated that LA doesn't need to make changes, even though for two yrs in a row now they've been humbled.

BUT...I see your point. As a Celtics fan I suppose I'd rather he walk around in ignorant bliss.

Exactly.  I firmly believe that if he better utilized the pieces around him, they'd be championship-caliber.  He's still one of the best players in the NBA overall.

EDIT:  I don't think bliss is a feeling Kobe is capable of, except maybe the day of a championship parade.

I dont feel sorry for LA.

They had had two 7 footers, and no injuries for the past 5 years.

The only reason they lost the past two was because of lack of heart.

Celtics would be hoisted their 4th championship, maybe their 5th, if injuries hadnt struck us every single season since 2008.

Great a parody of the song that's been stuck in my head for two days... ::)

Funny although it only serves to reinforce the tune in my head.

side note:  Mike Brown is a terrible coach.  How do you not win a title with 2 of the top 5 big men in the game (both 7 feet) and Kobe playing as well as he was playing.  Disgraceful.

As I was surfing SS and R, I saw an article on yesterday I believe that stated that Kobe was going to have a meeting with Mitch.

I'd love to be a fly on the wall in that one.

I really believe CP3 was the straw that broke LA's back. I can't see any fathomable way they can retool, here.

I suppose, though, that IF they did keep the team as is, they could hope for a 2012-13 playoffs where the Spurs were older, and perhaps they could meet OKC in the WCF.

Even with THAT scenario, OKC is STILL getting better. Durant is already nearly unstoppable, and Westbrook is getting more confident.

No easy fixes for LA.

The difference between Celtics fans and Lakers fans is that most Celtics fans understand and accept that we will have to rebuild and will most likely be pretty mediocre for at least the next 3 seasons.

...Lakers fans just want the team to be constantly elite. ESPN even ran a segment stating how horrible it would be if the Lakers weren't contenders.
