I guess I should introduce myself first. I grew up in NY, and was influenced heavily by Nas, Biggie, Big L, etc at a really young age. I first heard Illmatic when I was in middle school, and it blew my mind.

I started to follow hip hop more, because I remember when I was younger; a lot of bad stuff happened. I didn't know how to channel my stress, until I became involved in a poetry slam in 3rd grade. And really, my only outlet at the time was drugs, hanging out with friends who were into gang violence, or writing poetry/raps, and watching anime. It was a no brainer. So anyways, I'm working on my mixtape, so I really would appreciate if my fellow Cbloggers could give it a few listens, and give me some criticisms.

Anyways, I'll be posting up more songs in the future, but please give it a listen, and let me know what you think. I would really appreciate it.

Warning: some of my songs has explicit content, so listener beware.

My soundcloud is www.soundcloud.com/monkhouse-3.

Thanks to those that gave it a listen.

Pretty good stuff, really enjoyed "Love to Live Life." Definitely see some of the Nas influence there. Flow is solid, love the production. Keep it up bro!
