For Carsen Edwards YES a million times.

Kid needs a new start, some new good people around him. He will get that in Boston.

Seems like the kid has some genuine mental health issues. He needs help, not a new team. I hope he gets it before it's too late.

Zero interest in taking a flyer like this. A move like this can crush teams seasons completely.

porter is talented, but he has real issues as a person and a player mentally. maybe when his brain's frontal lobs are fully grown and he matures, then he might make it in the NBA....similar to gerald green.

I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

he’s been rewarded his whole life for this behavior. The road stops here. AAU,  high school, and college night put up with it because they’re desperate for talent. The nba doesn’t need this kid and he will be blackballed fast

Didn’t he get a new start in Cleveland after trouble in college?

The guy has some serious maturity and coach ability issues. No doubt that he has some talent but screams ME first guy who also might be hanging around with a bad crowd. Not sure you want to hitch your wagon to that kind of player.

Kevin Porter Jr. is quite obviously mentally unwell. Some of his concerning social media posts (stuff about suicide and the like) plus outbursts like this make me think him being in an international spotlight is probably unhelpful
'23 Historical Draft: Orlando Magic.

PG: Terry Porter (90-91) / Steve Francis (00-01)
SG: Joe Dumars (92-93) / Jeff Hornacek (91-92) / Jerry Stackhouse (00-01)
SF: Brandon Roy (08-09) / Walter Davis (78-79)
PF: Terry Cummings (84-85) / Paul Millsap (15-16)
C: Chris Webber (00-01) / Ralph Sampson (83-84) / Andrew Bogut (09-10)

Pass on this one.

He’s not the Porter you are looking for.

This is the way

Statistically, looks more promising than Langford or Nesmith, but no, I would probably pass given his level of immaturity and emotional volatility.

If they want Edwards and a 2nd I'd do that.
2023 Historical Draft - Brooklyn Nets - 9th pick

Bigs - Pau, Amar'e, Issel, McGinnis, Roundfield
Wings - Dantley, Bowen, J. Jackson
Guards - Cheeks, Petrovic, Buse, Rip

Is it really worth the chemistry hand grenade we’d be tossing in our locker room?

I agree. He needs help, which I hope his agent will get for him.

Every trade or transaction has risk and reward but I am struggling to understand what the upside for him is.  There are guys like this in the second half of the draft every year.  A 6'-4" wing who might give you 10 pts off the bench?  For that, you assume all the risk that this guy will bring?  He seems as messed up as Antonio Brown but not nearly as talented.  He has done about nothing in the league.

I wish him well but he should go try to figure things out in OKC or Memphis or even Europe, but not Boston.
