Title: Deflategate, part 2 (Steelers)
Post by: Cman on December 11, 2016, 03:34:54 PM
Steelers deflated footballs. Or maybe it was the weather.

No one will care. There's not as much hatred for other teams.

Case in point: Tom Brady got way more publicity for football pressure than Big Ben did for his alleged bathroom incident. Greg Hardy. Hell, I'd bet there more articles written about Brady's balls than Rae Carruth's murder case.

Fans of other teams that have lost to Brady (basically all of them besides Giants fans) and other hater trolls crawled out from under their rocks to talk about how Brady was overrated and cheated his way to Super Bowl victories. A daily soap opera for an equipment violation.

"They Hate Us Cause they Ain't Us". I hope Tom says this every night after polishing his 4 rings.

Prediction: its not the Patriots so nobody will be suspended or fined. It will be swept under the rug.

Let's NOT forget that Big Ben has been TWICE accused of sexual assault, NOT once!!!

Steelers have a long history of cheating and breaking the rules. Not surprising.

this puts Goodell in another big hole he has dug himself, if the Steelers players don't get the same punishment Brady did, people are going to lose their minds...well at least in NE

The article you linked to doesn't say anything about the Steelers breaking the rules. It talks about steroid usage in the 1970s, long before it was a banned substance by the NFL or the Federal Government. If you're going to cast stones make sure you know how to throw a rock first.

This is why ratings are down and as long as Goodell is around they aren't coming back. The league is a WWE joke now.  Nobody respects it or cares about it.

Goodell won his battle and his victory was totally pyrrhic.

70s Steelers and steriods is not a secret. Pathetic cheating franchise.

The point is that in the 70s, it is my understanding that steroids were not banned.

Thus the Steelers leveraged the rules. They did not break them.

EDIT: Just looked it up. Steroids not banned until 1983.

Steroids weren't illegal in the 70s. You can call them "cheaters" all you want and I'm sure some rabid fans here will egg you on but it's not accurate whatsoever in this case. In fact it's extremely foolish. You might as well call them cheaters because they were kicking off from the 35 yard line or using the head slap.   :o

Let's make 30 other posts and dissolve the entire NFL! Or maybe you can stop Edited.  Profanity and masked profanity are against forum rules and may result in discipline.posting and get back to the subject at hand.

Hey, look, nothing to see here! And took only what, one day? I am shocked.

I'm pretty confident you can just say 70's NFL and steroids is not a secret.  No reason to limit it to one team when pretty much every team had a significant number of players using the roids.

It wasn't even a day.  It was like 50 minutes after Glazer's initial report that NFL PR tweeted this out.

Phew. I was worried for a moment there about the integrity of the game.

This is funny to me.  It's cold. Footballs were below pressure.  Republicans don't understand climate change.  Gotta get it right though.  They suspended brady for this though.

I honestly think this is the front office trying to control stuff and being utterly stupid.  It's no different than the league  putting commercials on tv saying don't beat your wife when i didn't need to learn that.

Tom Brady is innocent.  The media basically overanalyzed this and put him through the mud over their own stupidity.

It's cold.  Footballs lose pressure in the cold. Much more of a news story if that isn't the case though.

None of these people will admit they are wrong and say they are sorry to my man Tom Brady.  Maybe he's innocent and a smart guy and surrounded by morons.

It's gotta be because the steelers are cheaters too lol.  Maybe they are good and and playing in cold weather?

Gotta get it right.

It's not even the playoffs. It's just colder in pittsburg right now.

hmmmm, maybe that's it?

Tom Brady is innocent!

so is Big Ben!

Leave it to a bunch of NY ****s though.
