I have almost 1500 posts and have Bill Walton status. What gives? Walton played 90 games for the Cs and averaged about 7 points and less than 7 rebounds. Me thinks he's a tad bit overrated in terms of his Celtics legacy. What can I do to get Cedric Maxwell status?  :o

It gets worse. I was Ray Allen for a while.

Thought I was going to get a big upgrade when I hit the next milestone and...I got just about my least favorite Celtics player ever.

It's a cruel world we live in.

Wow. Chaney and his 8.4 ppg and 3.9 boards. What does a man have to do to get someone in double figures? Chaney was just before my time, and I don't remember him coming back to the Cs in 78-79 when I was a fan. But I never felt Walton was a key player for the Cs. Just went along for the ride with a great team in 86.

Walton was definitely a key player that year. Be proud.

There's an actual list floating around here somewhere if you search for it, or you can go to members and sort by post count to get an idea of which Celtic is tied to what post count. But it goes like this:

Posts 0-999 are current Celtics in order of importance.  Without actually looking, it's something like:

900-999 Isaiah Thomas
800-899 Al Hordford
.
.
.
10-19 Jordan Mickey
1-9 Demetrius Jackson

Then once you reach 1000+ it goes to past Celtics, in the same order of importance.

So
30,000-30,999 Bill Russell
29,000-29,999 Larry Bird
28,000-28,999 Paul Pierce
.
.
.
1500-2000 Don Chaney
1000-1499 Bill Walton

(I didn't actually look up who's who, so the numbers I gave aren't actual matches to their corresponding players, but they're just to give you an idea of how it works).

The mods usually update the list once a year.

After 18 months with their Bigs, the Littles were: 46% less likely to use illegal drugs, 27% less likely to use alcohol, 52% less likely to skip school, 37% less likely to skip a class

Thanks for that info and explaining the ranking.  I had just assumed it was based on career Celtic legacy and not based on current vs. former.  TP!  A few observations from that page:

* I'm in the top 300!
* PickNRoll signed up 3 days before me and has 2 more posts.  Talk about similar posting history.

LOL.  At this pace I'll be significantly older than Red when I hit that!

I had the joy of having Ray Allen status twice. Not long after moving past him, the powers that be reshuffled the deck, and the next time I went to a new level ... I got him again. :(

Bill Walton status may be the most phenomenal status in the history of message boards.
