Houston paid a little more than they wanted to keep him. They are old and have little upside. If it continues to go bad they may go into rebuild mode.

Celtics get the best player in the deal and much needed front court help.

Capella
Horford
Tatum
Hayward
Irving

Morris, Smart, Semi, Theis, Timelord, Yabu

I'd be tempted if we were talking Gobert. Capela is talented but I question how much he benefits from being in Houston.

He's definitely good, and still only 24, but I'd likely hesitate before doing this. As byennie mentioned, he may benefit a lot by playing next to Harden and Paul.

A big I'd be more interested in would be Jarrett Allen, but I doubt the Nets move him. Huge fan of him, RHJ and LeVert
'23 Historical Draft: Orlando Magic.

PG: Terry Porter (90-91) / Steve Francis (00-01)
SG: Joe Dumars (92-93) / Jeff Hornacek (91-92) / Jerry Stackhouse (00-01)
SF: Brandon Roy (08-09) / Walter Davis (78-79)
PF: Terry Cummings (84-85) / Paul Millsap (15-16)
C: Chris Webber (00-01) / Ralph Sampson (83-84) / Andrew Bogut (09-10)

Be patient. We may already have Capella on our roster. I could easily see Williams developing into a Capella quality player in 2-3 years.

RHJ as in Rondae Hollis Jefferson? That’s the guy I wanted to draft over Rozier at the time, but I didn’t know he was doing well now.

The very same. He’s taking his time coming back from an adductor strain, but he averaged 14/7/2.5 with elite defence in under 30mpg. He’s one of the best rebounding and defending wings in the league. Wish we had him over Rozier, much the same way I wish we had LeVert over Yabu

Danny is just terrible at drafting utility guys.

I dunno about that. Danny has drafted plenty of useful guys over the years in lower spots. Tony Allen, Delonte West, Ryan Gomes, AB, E'Twaun Moore, Olynyk, Smart and Semi have all been good utility type selections.

The Rockets would bite our hand off if we offered that for Capela ::)

I'd probably do that as it would balance out the roster without reducing the talent level.
2023 Historical Draft - Brooklyn Nets - 9th pick

Bigs - Pau, Amar'e, Issel, McGinnis, Roundfield
Wings - Dantley, Bowen, J. Jackson
Guards - Cheeks, Petrovic, Buse, Rip

We could use him simiarly, but getting rid of Jaylen? Seems steep when we could have had Leonard instead.
