C's dominated the paint all night yet on the 2 most important trips of the game they jack up 3 pointers.  Rasheed at least had a good look but Paul Pierce threw up just a terrible shot instead of going inside.

Oh well it's only one loss but not a good sign to see the C's play terrible defense for 2 straight games.  Especially tonight at home after having a day to rest.  Onto New Jersey for another back to back...

ALL the missed free throws, all the Horrid calls, Phoenix playing a PERFECT game----LOSS no.1

That is what it takes to barely beat this team. I can live with that.

This is what happens when you DO NOT come out and play aggressive---C's depended on home court I guess.

Exciting game to watch, but the Celtics defensive scheme was poorly planned.  In addition, they got away from the #1 offensive game plan:  Pound it down low.  Even the Phoenix announcers said early on that that was the achilles heal of the Suns.

The 3 pointer by Nash was the epitome of why Rondo needs to realize he's a ways away from becoming an elite PG.  Rondo played subpar defense at the end, is not a shooting threat, and did not hit his FT's at all.  Nash did all of those things, and I hope Rondo takes something away from this game.

Overall I like the Celtics chances against this team in the future, and I doubt the C's would face them in the finals.

I don't think the C's took advantage of their dominance in the paint enough.  I'm worried about their lack of inside scoring.  They're not getting to the line enough and this has to change or they're going to struggle more often than they need to.

Two horrid defensive performances in a row for the best??? defense in the NBA.   Definitely cause for concern...

  • Rondo = Good
I think what we have to live with is that when this team is reaching the end of a stretch of games that all came close together, we're going to have a difficult time winning against decent teams.  Our team is more old than not, and we're gonna be pretty tired when we have a bunch of games all within a few days of each other.
Never forget the Champs of '08, or the gutsy warriors of '10.

Agreed but I am worried because Orlando is basically the same offense as Phoenix (3's all over) with a true center and good defense. We'll see.

Hope we will get back on track tomorrow on back to back...

Good night to all (4:00 am here)... frustrating game! :'(

No stops, no wins.  Pierce was just awful.  So was House.
